This is the only place I tried in Edinburgh that succeeded in baking authentic Syrian pastry. Everything was amazing, Falafel was great, price point very affordable. Love it. I eat in and the hospitality was fantastic even though the space was small, loved how they brought in tea in a teapot and cups are are so random as if you were in a grandmother’s house that was crowded and just had to make it work with what you get!
Went here with a relative for a late breakfast/brunch. This is an authentic Arabic Bakery for Manakish (pizza like breads) and other Arabic sweets. The owner appears to have honed his craft in Syria and Lebanon.
We had a variety of breads as per the photos (meat, cheese, thyme). They were all delicious and great value for money.
There was also a selection of Arabian sweets/baclawa on view but it was too early in the day for these. I will definitely return to try them. I will also definitely return regularly for the Manakish. Absolutely to be recommended. Please do try them.

However, the true stars of the show were the fatayer, which were simply outstanding. The freshly baked pastries were a delightful combination of flaky crusts and flavorful fillings, including spinach, cheese, and meat, offering a tantalizing taste of authentic Syrian cuisine. The attentive service and the restaurant's commitment to preserving traditional flavors made this dining experience truly exceptional, and I can't wait to return for more delicious Syrian delights.
Yes, it is a good place suitable for everyone, with the most delicious Syrian-Arabic food, the best baklava, and the best service in this café.
You wouldn’t know from the outside but this is an exceptional little cafe serving really excellent Syrian pastries, both sweet and savoury. Also an excellent Turkish coffee and really reasonable prices. A proper hidden gem.

Best falafel wrap and the latte...
A hidden gem. You must try this place! We had the best falafel and hummus wrap in Edinburgh for only £4 and it was huge. Super moist, fresh with tasty fresh salad. Wrap is baked fresh. All homemade. Chilli sauce is so tasty and not over hot which is good.
The vegetarian pastries and baklava type sweets were amazing.
