Such a nice cafe! Had a lovely little lunch after our walk and got some delicious looking cakes to take away. Friendly service and lots of good places to sit. Very much enjoyed my veggie sandwich with plenty of accommodations for dairy free. Can’t wait to visit again :)

Sadly not a patch on how it used to be when I visited regularly. The inside area was shut off from the public. The new covered outdoor area was Ok but without doors was a cold place to sit with lukewarm coffee served in paper cups rather than crockery. We'd hoped to pop in for a light lunch before a walk on Haughmond, but after the age it took to get drinks on a not vastly busy day, and the fact there was no longer an option to sit inside in what used to be a very cosy cafe, with it's log burner, we decided against it. Won't bother again.
Great place for a walk and rest at the cafe. Lots of different routes for different abilities. Great for young kids on balance bikes, buggy friendly and great for dogs too. Can get muddy in winter so wellies a good idea!
Cafe serves really good bacon butties, and has nice coffee (which can be served in a take away cup to take on your walk).
Parking charges of about £1 for 2 hours (can pay on Ringo).
We went to the cafe after the 'Highway Rat trail'. It’s wonderful and we really hope they do well because they deserve to. The food is top class with a lovely choice, catering for vegetarians and vegans. The sandwiches were tasty, freshly made with top class local ingredients, thick smoked salmon and lovely granary bread. The ice cream was from a local farm and tasted delicious. They are also very ethically conscious, using other materials other than plastic. I would definitely return and not necessarily just when I have done a walk there! Good luck to them in their venture. Along with the food the cafe staff were friendly, polite and welcoming.
Beware of this cafe and the ANPR cameras recently fitted.Thought I would pop in for a cup of tea drove in found it was closed in and out in 13 minutes got a fine for £25. No wonder the carpark was empty and numerous vehicles destroying the verges outside.It would be a good idea to put opening times of cafe at entrance if you are closed midweek.Steer clear!!!

Lovely variety of walks at Haughmond Hill but have to say it’s the cafe that is the real gem! The welcome is always warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble and the food is superb. All food is locally sourced and home made cakes and soups etc are always delicious. There are a variety of homemade specials that pop up, my current favourite is the lemon and blueberry scones with lemon curd - an absolute delight! Can’t recommend it highly enough! My dog also recommends the frozen doggy treat recently introduced!!
