Best KPortal Reviews
I used to think this was the best Indian Takeaway in the North East, but I do feel that it’s really dropped off over the last few month.
I’m not sure if they’ve changed supplier or something, but the quality of the vegetables and salad is now of the lowest quality.
The last time I was there the “salad bag” which used contain tomato, cucumber, and lemon, was literally just a piece of lettuce. It wasn’t even the good part, but the stem.
The quality of the onions also doesn’t seem to be as good as they used to be and they didn’t even have any mozzarella for the pizza, instead it was loaded with cheddar!
The mixed kebab was that greasy that it soaked through the Nan bread and I wasn’t able to wrap it up without my fingers being covered.
There’s two supermarkets in the town and ingredients can be sourced from there if they do run out.
I’m not sure if they’ve changed chefs, owners etc, but it’s really gone down hill.
Hopefully some changes can be made to get it back to being as good as it used to be.
Used to love this place years ago before I moved away. but first time back & ordered 2 pizzas which I use to consider the best takeaway pizzas anywhere.
What I got was 2 greasy & very little topping pizzas with no taste. Bitterly disappointed.
Will keep to the other options in the small town.
Called for a takeaway, chap on the phone was incredibly rude just because I asked him to read my order back. Items were missed off the order, food wasn't very good at all, mostly inedible and a lot of it went in the bin. Complete waste of over £100!
Love this place. We enjoy camping nearby and always come here for our takeaway. It hasn't let us down so far. We had chicken tikka makhani and chicken vindaloo.
It was just ok. We only had an Indian pizza (massalla) to share. Only chose that because it's different, never known anywhere else to offer them. It was a bit too sweet and messy for our liking, but definitely not bad.
Got bhouna lamb suposed to be curry fried oinion thats all could smell and see £20.50pfew bits meat disgusting for the price wont be useing it again
best place in the area for a curry and pizza. portion sizes are very good for the price. can get busy but food always comes out! friendly customer service as well!
Place is scruffy, full of spiders webs with the biggest spiders I’ve seen still occupying them, the counter was dropping to bits, They dont take bank cards, instead of politely explaining, just barked Cash only, and his manners didn’t improve….But the food was lovely,
Only bought from them because there’s little choice in the dead town…
