I’ll give it 6 months before they are closed. Used to travel to them as the food was amazing… slowly we’ve seen a decline. Raspberry Buns are now horrendous. Taste stale and are less than half the thickness they were, all broken up in the packet and the smallest scraping of jam. What a shame… cost cutting to the extreme. They’ve also stopped making their own sausage rolls and now use cheap Bako frozen ones. Bowen Pies is now the place to go.
Used to really like their raspberry buns. Recently they’ve gone downhill. Would message directly rather than write a review, but no way of contacting other than a phone call?
Anyway, the raspberry buns are flat, don’t hold their structure and very little jam. Not too long ago they used to be thicker and more jam in the middle. Won’t buy another one like this, sorry.
The moment that she told me, my Bavarian slice would be defrosted by the time I got home that put me off. I wanted a fresh cake, not something that had been frozen. It is most certainly put me off because when I asked her, how many cakes are actually frozen and defrosted she said the large majority, I always thought this place provided fresh cakes not frozen
I cannot thank the Halls Chorley team enough. Held a small scale event and ordered breakfast for my guests from here. Everyone loved the bacon sandwiches and the pastries.. well just wow.
Customer service.... could not have done more to help.

Ordered on Chorley eats Baggett ham salad very small hardly any butter filling small no onions. For over four pounds it's a waste of money.
Very poor quality, cold and dry definitely not fresh, I usually go after 12:00 without complaint but today at 11:00 just sub standard even after taking my pies back and asking for fresh they exchanged but still cold and dry. Chopped up and fed the dog (she didn’t complain).
Excellent for pies, sandwiches, cakes and barmcakes!
This bakery has gone from Hero to zero, in years gone we use to visit frequently as we classed it as the best, we went yesterday for three cheese pies, plenty of filling just no cheese (How can you sell a cheese pie without any cheese?) the pastry was very dry and why do they need to use so much pepper. We wont be visiting again that's for sure.
