Superb fish and chips! I phoned in my order ahead of time and it was waiting for my collection. Very generous portion sizes, the batter on the fish was lovely and crispy, not at all greasy. Will definitely visit again.
I went in this chip shop to buy some food & the man behind the counter made suggestions overtly that I should contribute to the young girl working behind the counter as it was her birthday? Now I am not mean but surely it’s none of my business if it is someone’s birthday even an innocent young girl & surely the staff or owner should not be suggesting in a manipulative manner that I give money to his member of staff which he should be looking after. The prices are high enough in this place & it’s not my responsibility to contribute to each & every persons birthday be it a sweet young girl or an elderly lady nor anybody else. It was an awkward & completely unnecessary as well as totally unprofessional situation to place a paying customer in. Manipulation at its best & sheer mean spiritedness as it’s the owner’s responsibility to look after his or her staff & not the paying public.
Guidos is my local chippy. I have shopped about chippies in nearby locations however I returned to Guidos as this is my favourite with good tasty food, always pleasant and friendly staff.
Food is always freshly made with lovely crispy batter. Good size portions and fairly priced.
I understand they do pizza and have a substantial pizza oven but as yet I have not sampled this however I see that it is popular.
Ice creams are also available.
There is no seating area to dine in so all take away. The shop itself is very fresh, clean and very pleasantly decorated.
Highly recommend you visit.
Just ordered a pizza with my own toppings and it was delicious... Never had a rubbish meal from there yet. Fast delivery and piping hot when it came.
We ordered pizza, chips and chicken pakora tonight. All came in time but the chicken pakora was in edible, burnt hard and disgusting.

Bought two suppers tonight. Hamburger was fine but the fish was awful it was crumbling inside the batter. The part that was whole was about 2 mm thick, looked like one piece of fish had been sliced into two, making two slices of fish. Haddock is never that thin.
Worst meal ever chicken was solid with overcooked no salt or vinegar on chips a waste of money
