Best chinese food in the North..owners are so friendly would not go anywhere else's
After our previous favorite Chinese closed (Silver Star, Standish) we tried every one in the local area and they were all bland and boring. We eventually found Green leaf and its absolutely amazing. Doesn't taste the same as every other place, really tasty, fresh and individual flavours. So glad we found it. Keep up the good work.
Very disappointed with the food I ordered. Beef in black bean sauce, very little beef but a very large amount of green peppers. Not much flavour either. Fried rice is more like boiled rice. Very disappointed . Won’t be ordering anything again ????
31 reviews and now am honest one from a non local..... Don't believe all the other 31.... They must've been given a discount!
I went to this Chinese purely on reviews.... but wish I had went elsewhere now and I reckon the other 31 reviews are from folk who haven't been out of Ashton in their life!
Firstly.... Asked for it to be extra hot... FAIL
Secondly served a main meal in a rice container with curry like soup and no consistency to it at all..... Pour it over the food and it run straight off.
And finally.... The first ever Chinese I've been to in the whole of the UK... And I've been too loads..... That doesn't even include king prawns in a 'special' curry but happy to charge £6.30 for a paltry portion of chicken beef and pork....but u get plenty chips to dip in the soup.
Never again.......I hope Wigan areas has better on offer at the next one I try.
Actually feel like I paid all that money for a large portion of chips rather than a proper special curry..... Profit before quantity and quality!!????????????
I've recently moved to the area and after some trials and a fair few errors of trying different Chinese takeaways on Just Eat I stumbled across this place pretty much under my doorstep. The salt and pepper chips are an absolute triumph and are always consistently excellent. Their curries are immense as are the szechuan and satay dishes. I've never had a bad dish from this place and the service that goes with it is just as equally impressive!!! The only way that I could see this place improving is if they delivered but that might just be me being lazy ????
Great Chinese takeaway. Prices are great and portions are filling. Food tastes as good as a Chinese restaurant in either Liverpool or Manchester's China towns. One of the places we go back to regularly.
Really nice Chinese food . I've tried various dishes and have always been happy with my choice. Nice clean takeaway with lovely staff.
