Went for coffee, cake and scones with friends on our boating holiday.
Excellent service by a friendly lady who chatted to us as we ordered and later when she cleared our empty cups from the table. Warm welcome and if I lived locally, this would easily become a regular spot for a cuppa. The café doubles up as a restaurant for the evening.
Our coffee and scones were tasty, served in beautiful surroundings (both location and the interior decor). The art gallery upstairs was interesting and the shop handy for buying duck food and biscuits.
Hope to visit again when I return to the area.
Absolutely fantastic meal, great service and reasonable price.
Would highly recommend eating here where there is a very friendly team and a talented chef.
Menu not huge which is nice as the items on there are cooked to perfection and presented beautifully.
I’ll definitely be back.
Had a delicious brie and ham sandwich and jacket potatoe here on a cold day. Staff was very nice and food excellent and reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly, too. They also have a high chair for babies.
Very efficient friendly service.
Lovely location.
Very comfortable looking seating indoors and ample tables outside to sit in the sun and enjoy the view over Malthouse Broad.
Sticky orange cake was stupendous
We had tea for two. Very reasonable prices.
Ducks and boats what more could you want.
We went to The Granary on recommendation with friends and the food was simply superb, my burger was probably the best I've ever had anywhere. The head chef has a very bright future ahead of her, go and support a local star in the making.
Mum and I arrived @ The Granary Restaurant for a full English. Delicious. Served by such a friendly lady and her daughter, Emma. Maybe I've got the name the wrong way round! Lol and one escapes me, sorry. ????Wonderful service, above and beyond. Mum was even given a cream tea to take back to the boat. Such kindness is a rarity down in London sadly. They even looked after my dear mum when she thought I'd gone missing, when the engineer was fixing the heating on the boat. Wonderful people. ???????????????? Thank you so much.
We noticed too, after an absence of 7 years, what wonderful and stylish decor the restaurant has now. An added bonus, creating a lovely ambience.
Returned for evening meal and was simply BLOWN AWAY!! Martin was great front of house. Mum nearly took him back to the boat in a doggie bag!! ????????????????
I had the BBQ belly of pork bites which were superb. Mum's steak was cooked to perfection, with a lovely peppercorn sauce. I opted for the bass! WOW. WOW. WOW! Stupendously sublime!! The pea purée was beautiful, light and tasting of Spring. Delicious. I have NEVER tasted such an incredibly tasty sea bass. Not even in Italy I have to say, where I was lucky to have lived for 10 years and frequented the best restaurants. The potato (forgot the chefy name... fondant? ????) war lovely. Crispy on they outside and fluffy and soft inside.
The meal was faultless, then I realised I hadn't even poured on the split oil and beurre blanc sauce. What a delight! I had to pinch several of mum's chips to taste. I am a very picky eater in restaurants and when I was told the chef was 18????????????????????! My goodness! Phenomenal! Anya, brava, bravissima! ???????????????????? TRULY OUTSTANDING ????????????????????
High quality food at reasonable prices. We shall return before the week's boating is up! ????????. FABULOUS. Culinary genius.
Mustn't forget the great coffee and cakes!
Such friendly staff and tasty food at a reasonable price. I had the chicken salad my friend had coronation chicken baguette. Both were excellent
Very nice lunch. Good prices and plenty of food. Ham salad was great. There is a lovely view of Ranworth Broad from the cafe, where all the boats are moored. Upstairs they have paintings and pictures on show for sale and some nice stained glass. Well worth a visit.
