Ordered sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice and some vegetable spring rolls.
The chicken was tasteless and like the rice, overcooked. The veggie spring rolls had meat in. I just about managed to eat some rice but the rest went in the bin. Worst Chinese I've ever had.
Collected take out as we were tired and not wanting to cook. As a local we had not eaten from here in a long time, we thought it had changed hands recently, flavour and food quality is average and OK.
Salt n pepper chicken was awful!!never ordering again from this place.the past 2 times we have ordered something went wrong first time we didn't recieve the salt n pepper chicken in the salt n pepper muchbox however tonight we had ordered a salt n pepper munchbox and the chicken tastes like it had literally just had so many cleaning products in the chicken u couldn't smell it from the batter however on the chicken u could smell it when we opened it up..rang the place up to complain and they were rude and they didn't seem to want to help the only thing they said was we want the munchbox back to examine?I said it was the chicken everything tasted perfectly fine!what a waste of £25 to not even enjoy the food I definitely don't recommend ordering from here I work in a Chinese myself and I would never have thought to be so cheeky and rude towards customers like they were!!!
Just had our first delivery from here and it was great! The lady who took the order on the phone was very professional, friendly and helpful.
The delivery came exactly on time, the driver was nice and friendly too.
The food was lovely. Piping hot and obviously freshly cooked. The portion sizes were fab .... enough left for a quick zap in the microwave tomorrow!
Would definitely recommend the Foo Young ..... it seemed to contain a dozen eggs! And the Special Chow Mein was great too ....very 'special' ..... thank you Golden Dragon, we'll see you again soon xxx
Excellent food. Massive portions. I've been working my way through the menu. All have been good, excellent variety of vegetables and flavours.
Absolutely love this Chinese! Myself and my partner had used another Chinese for years, as we were very happy with it. However, we were recommended The Golden Dragon and we haven't used the other one since. Absolutely gorgeous everytime!! We love the Special Chow mein with salt and pepper chips. What we love is the veg in the chow mein as well as the meat, as not many places have the lovely veg in it. We recommend this Chinese to our neighbours, who I'm pleased to say.....love it as much as we do.
The order was completely wrong delivery was one hour 20 minutes the Salt-N-Pepa chips were rockhard like they’ve been reheated. When we rang the takeaway their attitude was put it all back in the box and we will collect it and then threatened not to give a refund if one chip had been eaten or one prawn. OMG !!!
Awful. I have yet to find a decent Chinese takeaway in this area and I was hoping this would be it. Evidently not. Noodles were dry and stiff. Chicken satay was like wallpaper paste. Salt and pepper chips tested chalky like they had been cooked and reheated. Don’t bother.
