This place is top notch. So very peaceful and excellent hospitality. Location fabulous and we appreciate the time given to us at a very busy season in the farming calendar. Breakfast was a joy too. Comfortable, clean and warm.Thank-you Morag and David.
Stayed here for one night whilst bagging Munros for a much needed respite. The room was warm and tidy, there was also a nice sitting room to relax in (unfortunately I was too tired and got an early night!). Morag was helpful and polite and even generously offered to cook breakfast early the next day so I could get out at first light. Will definitely stay here again when I’m next in the area.
Family run friendly clean cosy wonderful establishment in a silent beautiful location...a peaceful happy warm haven. We truly loved our stay here. It was like home from home. We felt safe and cared for and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms had everything you needed and were warm and comfortable. A sitting room is also available to watch tv etc or socialise. The breakfast was delicious and the welcome was warm and friendly. We would 100% recommend it and would return again for certain.
Brilliant , lovely place to stop . Fabulous breakfast , great shower , warm comfy rooms .|Morag is a joy . It’s a pleasure to return for my second stay and I will return in the new year . |Lovely location
We booked Glenkilrie House as a base for our hiking trip as it was in close proximity to Glenshee Ski Centre (20 min drive). Very reasonably priced for the amenities (comfy beds and cosy communal living room, fridge) and breakfast we were provided with which fuelled us up before a long day of hiking. Would highly recommend for anyone keen to hike in the area if you have a car! Morag is an amazing host, she accommodated our dairy free and gluten free dietary requirements too.||||Breakfast included a selection of cereal, yoghurt and fresh orange, sausages, bacon, black pudding, french toast, tomato and egg, tea coffee and toast.||||Would definitely stay again!
If you you want to go to a place where there is almost no noice you should go here .the owners are so very nice and take time for you.|Breakfast is very good|The building is so nice. Arrived at the property & taken to a small outhouse, wasn’t provided a key to the main entrance, inside there was a corridor with 3 rooms, there was a pram in the corridor along with some clutter and a fridge, lady opened the door of our room without a key, and no key provided, once inside the room the smell of cigarette smoke hit me Room was tiny, as was the en-suite, no shampoo or body wash in the shower cabinet only a cheap looking hand wash on the sink. Lady then went on to say “breakfast is at 8am, normally I give guests the option” but she was taking her grandkids swimming and had to leave at 9am. She said “milks in the fridge” if you need it for a coffee. Once she left I had a look in the fridge, there was a can of beer and a bottle of beer and no milk. Went back to the room and not a key insight. We’d payed £120 for the room, to be honest I’ve stayed in many a bed and breakfast and this was by far the worst I’d ever come across, we grabbed our bags and checked out within 10mins of checking in. We’d just climbed 16miles for charity in Glenshee and made the choice of driving 2hrs home rather than stay the night in that B&B.
WOW. Beautiful location. We have visited different B&B's, hostels, hotels in Scotland over the years, what a find by Adrian.|Morag the host was very welcoming & friendly, the place was pristine, warm & cosy, the shower was awesome as was the comfortable double bed.|The breakfast in my view is 2nd to none. Just a superb weekend with friends made more so by our stay at Glenkilrie House
