Winterwanderung Col des Etroits Ste.Croix VD
A great hiking destination from Ste-Croix. A pleasant 45 minute to an hour hike will be rewarded by beautiful views of the Alps and a close view of the éoliennes. The restaurant has plenty of shaded outdoor seating and a rustic dining hall. The restaurant is very clean and the service is friendly and efficient. The food is classic swiss and is perfect after a hike. The croûte aux fromages and the fondue are delicious. Prices are very affordable. Cash or TWINT only. One can drive up and the final stretch will be on a well maintained gravel road.

Nous avons vraiment bien soupé, et le café Papy est une découverte.

I arrived on a Sunday after a very long day of hiking and was so thankful for their late hours.
There was a very sweet and accommodating couple working the night I stopped by. Not sure if they were owners or volunteers.
I had a VERY delicious cerf burger and fries, beer, and glass of rose. It was 29 CHF and they accept credit card????????????????
The restaurant is very quaint and cozy but seating is sufficient.

Nous avons dégusté de délicieuse saucisse message de cerfs, de la fondue plus qu’excellente et une pièce de bœuf cuite sur pierre incroyable !
Nous avons passé une excellente soirée en leurs compagnies à blaguer et faire connaissance.
Ensuite nous avons pu profiter du gîtes et du déjeuner.
En résumé un moment authentique qui nous donne envie de revenir vite!!

Très bonne fondue Mauler Morilles... croûtes très bonnes... et patronne très sympathique et efficace.
Le lieu est excellent au calme, l'accueil adorable et la cuisine excellente (label "fait maison")
