I'm giving this one star as the proprietor was really friendly.
Upon opening my mini fish and chips were behold dire.
Chips were dark brown and tasted acrid as though they were refried and cooked in old oil. My throat burned from the taste. Fish batter was incredibly thick, wet and spongy and the fish was stale and yellow in colour.
Please take note owner, use decent ingredients and customers will come back regardless of the price.
The customer service is very poor. I ordered a bucket of chicken and was advised it will be ready in 5mins. Got there and the owner said he just sold 2 so I have to wait. I just took whatever was left. The lady at the till was about to give my chicken 4 of them to someone else. Then changed her mind. The chicken peices are also small. Won't be going back there. Chips are very crispy, don't have any taste they are like eating crisps from a crisp packet bland. Not worth the money or the customer journey. I am a heavy spender to spend 15 quid. Never again. Not at this place.
Rude and miserable staff, they want to cheer up a bit. Every time I’ve been in I get looked at like I’m some foreign life form or something and get spoken to like a naughty little dog. However, the food is pretty decent as far as chip shops go so it is worth going through the bother I suppose (if you can put up with being spoken to so rudely that is).
Such a awful and disgusting packaging order !?!!
Also where are the missing parts of fish ?????!!

Hooray! Finally! The former/previous owners have brought back the business and what a Massive transformation. The food has gone back to actually being food. Fresh, good portion sizes even down to the salad, it's fresh! I would definitely rate this place not just for the food but also for the owners, they're all about customer service, always happy, always wanting to talk to you. One of the best chippies in parkfields by far
Updated: Just seen this Chip shop scored a 0 for hygiene in July 2022 on Birmingham Mail.
Went here recently as new to the area, fish was clearly days old and was all hard inside, batter was disgusting couldn’t eat it. It fell away from the fish immediately. Chips where battered but had a very weird taste. Waited a very long time for food and wouldn’t have minded if it was nice.
Terrible chippy
Very rude, and tried to scam you by giving you less than what you have paid for. The reason he told me was a person who ordered on uber eats ordered the same so he needs to give me less to give them but charge me full price.
Will never support this business again!
The food is very low quality. The fish doesn't even look like fish more like mashed potato.
