Ordered roast dinner for 7 of us, my chicken was smellingand tastedweird, yorkshire puds were stale and potatoes weren't cooked long enough, The cauliflower cheese was very runny. The server did their best but it took so long from 2pm to 2.40pm waiting and service was just slow, only our table and table of two.
I didn't get charged for my food, but unfortunately I don't think I'd ever be back.
Lucky enough to be here on reopening night under new ownership. Visited with my family and we were delighted to see the steam train passing behind the field and enjoyed the beautiful cows in that field which adjoins the pub. Staff were very friendly and the food really was exceptional. My husband had the lamb Wellington and I had the fish and both were excellent. The children’s meals were a good size filling up my 9 year old boy, which is no mean feat! We will certainly return and highly recommend to families and people who like a good quality meal.

Nice pub.l within walking distance of Bury town centre of £5-6.00 in taxi. Stayed overnight as a motor home stop over. Friendly staff good range of drinks and nice food. Went late afternoon so a little quiet. Would definitely go again.
This has become my go to place for a Sunday roast. The food is plentiful and they have a range of meats on offer. If you don’t fancy roast the steak is to die for, perfectly cooked with a more than ample side of chips and salad or the lamb wellington. The team at the Garsdale are wonderful and have completely turned the place around since they took over. Shauna who works on the bar is fantastic. It’s great to see this place thriving, the conservatory restaurant is a lovely place to eat but there is also plenty of seating in the bar too and football on in the main bar. I look forward to Sundays at the Garsdale! Well done guys! Can’t recommend enough
First visit and received a very warm welcome from the staff and the pubs dog.
A well kept pint of Vocation Heart and Soul topped off the visit. We didn’t eat here on this occasion but will be back as the menu looks very tempting
Great food, great service. None of the dishes on the menu online were available, but this may be due to new people running it. Had garlic chicken burgers with chips and salad which had a nice grain mustard dressing.
Nice looking place but there it stops the food was tasteless my companions meal came covered in gravy I ask mine for the gravy to be separate on tasting the food I understood why the food was tasteless i will not be visiting again very disappointed. The restaurant was cold a couple of the people in my group ended up having to eat with there coats on
