Beautiful long expanse of flat sandy beach with calm, shallow waters and open skies. Great for star/moon-gazing. Need to (re-)open more toilets though!
Our day trip to Frinton-on-Sea Beach with our kids was an absolute delight. It ticked all the boxes for a perfect summer outing: beautiful beach, family-friendly environment, safety precautions, convenient amenities, and stunning scenery.
We went to the beach on Sunday, and although it was crowded, we were able to get parking near the toilets. They were clean, however if you want to use the loo, bring some change since each person has to pay 20p. After swimming and splashing in the sea, there's is a well-maintained park uphill where you can rest or enjoy the wonderful views, even though some people were grilling.
We highly recommend Frinton-on-Sea Beach as a top destination for families seeking a memorable and enjoyable summer adventure. We're already planning our next visit, and we can't wait to create more cherished memories at this charming seaside gem.
Where coastal charm meets seaside bliss. This quaint town is a delightful retreat for beach lovers and those seeking a nostalgic seaside experience. Step onto Frinton's sandy beach, and you'll be greeted by soft waves and breathtaking views that stretch as far as the eye can see. It's the perfect place to sink your toes in the sand, build sandcastles, or simply bask in the sun's warm embrace.
After a day of beachside fun, take a stroll along the little high street. With its charming independent shops and inviting cafes, the high street offers a delightful blend of local treasures and seaside vibes. Indulge in some retail therapy, grab a cup of freshly brewed coffee, or treat yourself to some traditional fish and chips—the taste of salty goodness paired with the sea breeze is pure perfection...
I love this beach. It's so spacious and it has sand! Unlike most of the beaches, I have never seen this one as packed as Southend or Brighton. So it's always a nice relaxing day when I go there. :)
We got to the beach and found the water on the beach front, whilst waiting for the water to go down we had lunch on the open fields. Couldn't find many fish and chips shop or ice cream places. Parking was easy and free. It was nice and empty with lovely sandy beach. The water was nice and clear. We had a great time. People where really nice, my wife took a fall on the road and so many people came to help
Nice beach and free parking, but lots of dogs on the beach (off and on leads) despite signage up saying dogs aren’t allowed during the summer. Didn’t see toilets close to the beach or taps to wash feet. Had a nice day, but not sure I will return again.
Free parking, nice greenery. Perfect for the picnics. You can walk along the beach and come back along the park. Peaceful.
A lovely beach for small children, as it's sandy, shallow water, the beach is mostly covered each tide so gets washed clean.
At low tide there are shallow pools suitable for very young children.
Facilities are scarce, expect a hike to the loos and an expedition to find an ice cream, so do that before you hit the beach.
