So bad we couldn’t eat it an I’m not that fussy. Got some battered chips a the chips were borderline raw with hard chewy batter the was disgusting, and battered halloumi sticks that looked anaemic and the inside of the batter still raw. We’ll never go here again ever and would not recommend.old woman bossing everyone around in an unpleasant way, which created a bad atmosphere.
What an amazing fish and chips we have just had with Chris.
We couldn’t recommend Friars Tuck enough. Fresh food, big portions at a reasonable price and excellent service.
We will definitely be returning
Chris is such a gentleman and very down to earth. I enjoyed chatting with him and the food wasn't bad either!
Lovely cod big white flakes pushy peas very nice chips ok all wrapped in paper which i like better than a card board box and my 4 legged friend recieved a free sausage ,we will be back .
Without a doubt the best fish and chip shop in Tiverton. Very friendly service too, will definitely be back!
Amazing staff so helpful sent my kids in to get food while I waited at door in mobility scooter I had allergens to query and three kids who couldn't make up mind two with additional need and were all hyped up after a dance class and general summer holidays excitement.
I was also very tired and not able to keep up with what was being said due to these and other factors and the staff were very patient kind and considerate.
I made mistake and had some how missed the salt and vinegar question on my food and then asked about it bless her she re wrapped mine with it on was a really kind touch very impressed
Bought Cod and Chips. Cod it wasn't maybe whiting. Batter tasted bad. Fish not great. Chips tasted like they were reheated. For nearly £10. Very disappointed.
Best fried fish we've had since we left London in the sixties. The chips were good too. Personal service was excellent and the ambience was great. Will return on our next visit to the area
