Horrible food. Chips taste worse than 3 month oil. Mushy peas were literally peas in water completely inedible, batter soggy and old. The owners ignorant and even gave attitude when I tried to order, prices sky high 2 pounds for a tiny pot of ‘mushy peas’. Absolute joke avoid avoid avoid. Go next door.
Regular customer… first review for this excellent Chippy! Chips are THE best. All sorts of shapes and sizes - crispy, chunky and fluffy. Fish - fresh, soft, flaky and flavourful in a light batter. ONLY criticism is that they could cook sausage in batter to order (maybe I will ask next time)
The first decent fish & chip shop we've experienced in the area in 10years. Efficient team working there too, even if they are distracted by the telly being on whilst it was showing Oceans 11/12/13. Can order over telephone in advance. Card payments accepted over £5. We ordered 2 separate bags of chips (didn't specify size when ordering) and we didn't even finish the 1st bag between the 2 of us! They do freeze well though for future reheats in the oven....

The fish was really delicious, nice and flakey, small portion of chips which was huge. Cannot fault either. Curry sauce just not doing it for me ????????♂️ but overall great stuff. Friendly staff.

Local resident, been to Fresh Fry over twenty times over the years, food freshly cooked
always piping hot with great batter on fish, and chips crisp and floury, no soggy fish and chips here. Don't go anywhere else to eat all that a chippy has to offer without trying Fresh Fry first
Their policy is to took every order fresh which is excellent as it always means you’ll get the tastiest food possible.
Card payment is available with a minimum spend of £5.
We had battered sausages and chips, both were delicious. The chips especially get a shout out as they are probably the best chippy chips I’ve had from anywhere in the area.
Prices are reasonable and customer service is good. Because of a large delivery order I had to wait about 10 minutes for my order but was given a free can of coke due to this which was well received.

Apparently their policy is to cook everything fresh
So when I step into the shop, i saw a large amount of batter sausage ready cooked and asked how long ago they have been fried only to be met with a sarcastic comment from the old fellow "was cooked last year"
Well I replied saying yeah it b l o o d y looks like it
Initally came in to make a order for a gathering, was about to spend at least £150 but after old boys attitude I ordered a single portion of chips and made a order on uber eats instead :) have a little bit more respect in future if you run a business dont judge someone based on their looks x
Ordered 2 plaice with black skin on and cod with chips. Absolutely superb. Price is reasonable if you phone direct number and pick up.
