Reliable car mechanics who perform their work honestly and with commitment! We had an emergency situation on the way to the seaside. Thanks to the employee of this garage - his thorough and efficient analysis - we were able to safely continue driving without risk. We are grateful that there are still people with passion who do this profession.
We had to make an unexpected stop here because of a puncture. The chaps here could not have been more helpful. By the time I left only 20 minutes later the puncture was temporarily stalled and I was armed with the numbers for several tyre shops in Scarborough and all for the cost of a review!! If I was closer I would not hesitate to use this garage.
Took my truck here for it's MOT and all was OK, however when my wife took her Evoque there for a service and MOT a couple of weeks later the experience was completely different.
She dropped the car off and having heard nothing, called the next day to see when it would be ready. The person on the phone told her he couldn't tell her when it would be ready or how much the total bill would be which made her quite anxious.
She called up again the following day and was told the car was ready to pick up, and upon collection was given a bill for a little under £1000 for an MOT and service. It turned out the garage had, without asking her permission first, renewed the complete rear braking system. This was despite the car having no problems with the rear brakes, and having only 30,000 miles on it.
The garage stated that the work needed doing however there was no mention of problems with the rear brakes on the MOT certificate, they obviously saw a woman on her own with a nice car and decided to do the work which was completely unecessary to make a quick buck, so in short we will never use this garage again and wouldn't recommend anyone else do either!
Booked MOT for class 3 Piaggio mp3 trike then when I got there told they can't mot it because its too dangerous to go on ramp, but they managed to mot same trike 2 years ago. Guy was friendly and apologetic though.
Snapped a suspension spring in my car whilst going away for the weekend.
Luckily for me it happen about a mile away from this garage. Pulled in at lunch time on Friday. They diagnosed the issue orders the parts and had it repaired on the same day, booked me a taxi to continue my journey and even collected me from 10 miles away on Saturday morning to take me back to collect my car.
Absolutely first class service, very friendly and professional.
