I joined this doctors a few weeks . I didn't hold much hope after reading the reviews. How wrong was I..
I got an appointment with no hassle.
The reception staff are also really helpful.
Many thanks.
I'm 2 weeks post hysterectomy..i development a UTI..I spoke to the Practice Nurse who advised to bring a urine sample in..she gave me a short course of antibiotics..unfortunately they didn't help..I spoke to Wendy the Health Care Assistant who advised me to bring another water sample in..with no time the GP rang and advised an alternative course of antibiotics is advised.
Thank you to everyone for you help
I was seen by a nurse for blood pressure & blood tests. This was completed quickly & left no bruising. I was also asked a number of questions regarding my health. The nurse was friendly but professional & was happy to answer some questions I had.
I have never had the misfortune to visit the doctors in years.
imagine my dismay to get a text message via patches to say this.
The Surgery takes it very seriously if a member of staff are treated in an abusive way. We support the Zero Tolerance campaign. This states that the staff have a right to care for others without fear of being abused. To provide a good service a mutual respect between staff & patients must be in place. All our staff aim to be helpful & sensitive to all patients’ needs. The staff understand that at times it can be frustrating. However, aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated & may result in you being removed from the Practice list.
Kind regards,
Four Acre Health Centre
I have contacted the surgery every Friday for the last 3 weeks, my call was answered really quickly, and i was given a telephone consultation, immediately. I was spoken to by Sharon the nurse practitioner, who was very helpful and understanding. Thank you
I moved doctors here and genuinely cannot fault them here. Everytime i call at 8am i get an appointment. Not had any issues at all so far, nor my partner.
What was once a friendly, caring, efficiently run (multiple) GP practice is now an absolute disgrace, being held up only by loyal staff and Advance Nurse Practitioners.
Doctors appointments are as rare as hen's teeth, unless you need a home visit.
If you can get an appointment (there's not many available each day) you'll probably see an ANP - and they're very good - but there's not enough of them, maybe two a day max doing the work of the doctors.
How the CQC reckon the practice has improved is beyond me.
Having to queue outside the surgery at 8am/having your phone on constant redial in the hope of getting an appointment is NOT an improvement.
I feel so sorry for the reception & telephone staff having to deal with the daily fallout of this practices failings.
Great doctors and fantastic staff but seriously you need to sort out your appointments system. Especially for people that work a 9 -5. Expecting people to redial 100s of times at 8am whilst driving to work is not acceptable and will cause accidents on the road. Some of us have no choice but to do this. Then by the time you get through there are no appointments left!
