Really good and friendly service here, Michael is a good chap. If you have a bit of patience upon entry then someone will always attend to you at the desk.
Dropped car off after breakdown for clutch replacement, they were fully honest in saying that I was looking at 19 days before they get to it as they’re fully booked, Michael away on holiday etc
Had a set date for me. I was anxiously waiting on that day, by mid afternoon I found they’d kept to their word and my car was fixed on the very date they said it would be.
Now that the trust is there, I know I’ll have peace of mind in not playing a guessing game for future repairs.
It’s a labour intensive job on my model. Well worth the wait, job done well. They didn’t invent or discover any further problems or want more.
They’re not cheap, but not ridiculously priced either.
To give an idea, I paid within ~£50 of average online quotes for the job (incl. VAT)
Aside from living locally, it’s worth paying a little more for guaranteed friendly, honest and reliable service. The fact that they’re fully booked for weeks means they’re good at what they do.
Used Fort Street Motors for the first time today and cannot praise the efficiency and quality of work high enough. From the time I booked my car in for a service and M.O.T the standard of service was excellent. When I collected the car the bill was fully explained which makes a change from a bill being stuck in front of you with no explanation.
As I said my first time and this will be my regular choice for repairs and servicing.
Would fully recommend for standard of work and customer care.

Went in to ask about a small 10 minute job I needed done and staff seemed uninterested and dismissive. A friend took their car in and it later turned out some work they charged for had never been done! Bath St motors much better, never let me down.
