Staying in the local area and so went here on recommendation. We had lovely fish and chips. Cooked fresh there and then. Served piping hot. Nice crisp fully cooked to perfection batter. Chips good too. Couldn’t fault. Great service, friendly. Highly recommend.
Have visited fochabers fish bar a number of times and everytime the fish has been cooked beautifully. Really nice crispy batter with homemade tartar sauce.
I don't think I've had a better fish supper.... Just amazing. Fish was cooked perfectly, melt in you mouth stuff, batter was perfectly crispy and not too thick and the chips were superb, I will be back soon and I'll be telling everyone about it. ????????
The fish and chips were delicious, fresh fish, crispy light batter and great chips. Nice touch with the lemon wedge and pot of tartare sauce. Good service and friendly staff. I highly recommend and will certainly be visiting again????
Freshly cooked fish and chips, only had to wait 5 mins this evening. Social distancing measures in place and staff were very friendly and efficient. The establishment was spotless as usual. Food was delicious, highly recommended.
This is probably one of the best fish and chip shops around the UK. Granted, you can’t currently sit in due to COVID-19 restrictions, but that doesn’t stop the food from being amazing! Normally when sitting in, for an extra £1 you can order tea and buttered bread for the table. Obviously this isn’t possible at the moment. I usually go for a black pudding supper, (for non-Scots that’s a deep-fried black pudding with chips) followed by the classic — a deep-fried Mars Bar. Soft, slightly melting inside and still warm, this is some of the best food in Scotland. If you’re ever up on the coast near Elgin, head down the road to Fochabers Fish Bar and drop in. You won’t be disappointed!
Didn't realise it was cooked with beef dripping, so sadly I won't be back, it stirred up my IBS and still not right. ????????
Visited around 6.30 on Saturday and it was absolutely packed out the door.
The ordering process was very quick and efficient and all the food is cooked fresh once you place your order.
The wait was not too long, roughly about half an hour but it was well worth it.
The Fish and Scampi Suppers were well worth the wait 10 out of 10.
