Decent food, just a shame the service is extremely slow. The staff seem like they don't want to be there. Completely different experience to what I had a couple of months ago.
Fantastic gluten free fish and chips with massive portion sizes. Took so much care to keep my order separate from my partner's gluten containing order too. Mushy peas were lovely and they even have gluten free vinegar!
Went here on a trip away after the amusement park.
Let's start with the portions, wowzers! Had medium chips.. huge portions! I'd hate to see large!

I’ve been coming to this chippy for years now and I can honestly say it is fantastic. So good that I drive 7 miles down the road for it! It’s always top tier and cooked to perfection and the staff are always very polite and professional. My go to is fish chips and curry sauce and it cannot be beaten! I’d also recommend the Balti pie which most chippys don’t have I’ve only ever found it before at villa games (fire). Don’t know how anyone could give any less than 5 stars for this place trust me if you’re thinking of trying it out you won’t be disappointed!
Orderd large cod no batter not as big as normal and freezing cold and chips cold and burnt previous to that had a donner in nann and meat was like rubber like the cheap stuff you buy in s bag
The food was lovely and fish Portion size was large, so think about how hungry you are before ordering. The gluten free food was really nice. If you do a phone order make sure you are there for the time that they say otherwise it could be cold as its only left on top of the heated cabinets and I was only 3 minutes after the time the food was cool when I got home and i liveless than 5 minutes away, so would probably order when I was in the shop next time.
Had 2 cod, chips and sausage specials, they were happy to upgrade to battered sausage for a small charge (60p at time of writing).
Fish was superb, flakey fish with a crisp batter, sausage was encased in equally crisp batter and full of flavour.
The chips were plentiful and possibly the chips I've had in the local area for ages.
Definitely worth dropping in if you're feeling the need for a chippy tea, or lunch!
We fancied fish and chips for a change and ordered 2 large fish, chips and some mixed chicken and chips in a box. Almost EVERY chip was raw! The chicken was nice and the fish was OK although the batter with thin and soggy. It wasn't even mega busy so not sure why they could have "rushed" the order.
If this was my first experience of this place I would never go back. As it is I won't be rushing back anytime soon
That's £30 which most of it ended up in the bin.
