La Familia is a recently opened Cafe in Renfrew in the old bookies and trust me, this is well worth a bet ! Located in Newmains Road (sister Café to Patons Place in Bowling) this is a clear favourite and guaranteed to be a winner !
The staff are excellent ! (Big shout out to William ????) The interior is spacious, clean and the service is very friendly. We popped in for a coffee/snack and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the whole place. The food is good, the coffee is to my taste, the desserts are indulgent and we left pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. Judging by how busy it was a lot of diners agree. Well worth a visit.
Highly recommend. Lovely home made soup and the coronation chicken sandwich was delicious. Good selection of cakes too. Staff are very attentive and friendly.
Beautifully decorated with friendly and very pleasant staff. A lovely space with an array of heart warming household ornaments and gifts for sale. Recently refurbished to a very modern and sleek style. Staff were very welcoming and pleasant, the waiter couldn’t have been more accommodating. Food was very well priced and made fresh to order. The coffee was enjoyable, a good strong cup of coffee, I found it to be better than most big branded coffee shops. A hidden gem In Renfrew, highly recommend.
Brilliant new coffee shop, gift shop and florist in Renfrew. Food and service is excellent and kids eat free during the summer holidays with every paying adult.
Pros - Breakfast menu genuinely is of good quality and really nice with a good range of options. The owner is really nice to speak to also. Not too expensive either for a good portioned breakfast.
Cons - The lunch menu in my opinion is poor and very limited, essentially soup, toasties, panini's or salads, no selection of sides such as chips, onion rings etc. The breakfast menu finishes far too early considering it is the strongest menu, and comes off at 11.45. We had to ask if it was possible to have just a ham and cheese toastie as it isn't an option on the menu, we were charged £7 for this, we found this to be incredibly expensive for essentially what it is.
I would 100% recommend this place for breakfast but would genuinely avoid it for lunch until the menu hopefully expands and prices are more in line with local cafés in the area.
First time visit for us (not my Dad!) firstly, lovely warm welcome. Then the food…it was excellent! Can’t believe we haven’t been before, will definitely go back AND soon! Dont walk…run to visit, you wont be sorry.
I was in Cafe Familia this morning. I enjoyed the gingerbread latte and a fruit scone. Both delicious. Michelle, Joanne and Will all gave me a lovely welcome. I have been going to the coffee shop since it opened in April this year. If you don't drive, you can get a McGills 21 bus. Coming from Paisley, the bus shelter is located round the corner on Newmains Road, Bute Avenue is beside it. If you are getting the 21 bus from Braehead, the bus stop is located at the top of Broadloan, near Tesco. Across from the Arkleston community centre. If you drive, there is a carpark directly outside Cafe Familia.
Me and my colleague Rob came to the area for a work visit and came to this Cafe for our lunch most of the week. Nothing but exceptional service and amazing food! Definitely come back to visit!
