We ate breakfast several days here and also bought some lunch items. Breakfast was quite nice, although slow to be made. Ciabatta option wasn't so good, but full breakfast was nice (although mistake on the order one of the days). Croissant I was told was fresh that morning, but it tasted like it was made the previous day. Some good choice of drinks such as a choice of good quality fresh juices.
Pies and pastries were quite good.
Bread and butter pudding slice was very nice.
What a truly fabulous place with some of the best bread I have bought anywhere. Some rarer varieties of flour used as well. It also has one of the best Battenburg cakes I have had as well with a sensible amount of marzipan. Throw in the fact that you can get a cooked breakfast and then if you felt the urge take home some homemade Scotch Eggs for lunch. Well you can see that it is well worth attending this fine establishment and generally you can park outside as well.
Well worth travelling miles to buy the best bread ever!
We absolutely love their multi seeded and granary loaves.
Also the bread pudding is to die for.
Good old fashioned, no nonsense bakery.
A little bakery in Bampton with a lot in side. Fresh bread and rolls to cakes. This also has a selection of ready made sandwiches and savoury products. The bakery also has a coffee shop at the back so you can grab a drink and a cake and sit in. It is definitely worth a visit. It has moved from it previous location to near the chemist.
Overrated little cafe and bakery .the breakfast was greasy and lukewarm my friends fish and chips were also very greasy and the cheap frozen chips were hard and my piece of bread had a long hair in it disgusting . When we complained to a girl who for whatever reason was wearing a false beard she took the attitude that she couldn't care less and that as we were only tourists we didn't count and she was rude and obnoxious with the worst body odour I have ever smelt .needless to say we won't be going back but luckily we found a lovely little cafe a few yards up the road .don't bother with this place foods rubbish and it's not very clean .
