We only had an evening meal at Dunskey Guest House but can highly recommend, warm welcome, lovely atmosphere and the most delicious food.
Three course for £30- including tea or coffee, all top quality and fresh ingredients.
They are unlicensed serving soft drinks but welcome to take in a bottle of wine for a corkage fee.
Many thanks to you and your team, Lynda Coates.
We fancied an afternoon tea so booked ourselves one in Dunskey Guest House. We ordered one sweet afternoon tea and one savoury so we could share bits of everything. The tea is interesting, very well presented & delightfully tasty. A rather different approach to afternoon tea and definitely recommended. On top of the usual sandwiches and scones a lovely mix included mini savoury cauliflower in Yorkshire pudding, cold & hot smoked salmon on mini muffin, mango topped lemon & poppy seed cake and banoffee in a glass. Different, tasty, and more than enough to eat on an afternoon. Recommended but booking ahead is advisable as it can get busy, even in the off season.
My husband and I booked a table for dinner here on the 1st December while we were on a short break in the area after reading the fabulous reviews online...it certainly didn't disappoint!|We hadn't realized it was a Christmas menu, but we're really pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing, the first time we've eaten Christmas dinner away from home that was as good (actually, probably better) than we have at home,..and we discovered we like bread sauce too. We both loved our desserts too, mine was a black forest pavlova and my husband had cinnamon and spiced apple parcels...mmmm!|The hostess was absolutely lovely, such a friendly, welcoming, cheerful lady that really got us in the Christmas spirit. Her daughter was lovely too. |All in all we had a lovely evening and certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dunskey House to everyone.|10/10 *****
Beautiful 3 course dinner, lovely friendly staff ! Nice cosy atmosphere. Food was beautifully presented, of the highest quality & the portion sizes were generous. We will definitely be back on our next trip round ! Thank you for a lovely evening ????????
Emma and the team were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating for our brief stay at the start of December.||Breakfast was exceptional with top quality produce.||Our room was a converted loft space which was so warm and cosy, and had a real ambience to it!||We would happily stay here again should we visit Portpatrick in the future. Awesome, thank you ????????
We have been trying for a while to eat at Dunskey Guest House, however, they’ve been fully booked for months (which is testament to how good the food is) We had a fabulous meal on Friday 24 November and was so worth the wait. The restaurant has no licence but you can take wine for a small corkage fee. Will definitely be back but will have to plan in advance so we can get a booking. Keep up the good work Emma and Nick
We just enjoyed a great break at Dunskey House - the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Emma was so helpful and friendly and we were made most welcome and our doggies too. The evening meal was fantastic on every level and was well worth the long journey we had to get to Portpatrick, lovely breakfast and a great walk round the town - a super weekend break and one to be repeated for sure.
Had an absolute fantastic meal on Saturday, can thoroughly recommend Dunskey Guest House. Emma and Mia were so welcoming and attentive, we can’t forget to compliment the chef! We will be back, if only we stayed closer! ????.
