Arrived on my bike, cold and damp. Within 3 mins a pot of steaming hot tea was plonked in front of me. The breakfast was brilliant, tasty and a good size. Three mugs of tea. £12!! Can't ask for more. Will be visiting again very soon. Thanks
You must try the Lemon Drizzle cake. Melts in your mouth. A great cafe with views.
We’ve been a couple of times before as my husband is from the area but this was our first time for breakfast.
Freshly cooked and very reasonably priced - I don’t know what they did but the mushrooms are the nicest I’ve ever eaten. The breakfast comes with bread and butter rather than toast which actually made a nice change. Couldn’t fault it at all.
Lovely gift shop there too and a lovely view over the lake to enjoy while you eat as well.
I don’t understand some of the other picky reviewers mentioning things like not being able to have something that’s not on the menu - why would you - it’s their business and their choice what to serve you!! Stop penalising small businesses with hard working people! Stop being so entitled!!!
This is a great little stop off for good honest, home cooked food.

Cottage pie is super, Chicken pie with leek is also not bad. There are a lot of cute things in the little shop. I bought a cute cat bag.
Popped in for some lunch last week. Nice warm welcome, lovely food and a fabulous, well stocked shop full of gifts and Christmas treats. We are moving to the area soon, so we look forward to visiting again!

This property has disabled parking & a ramp for wheelchair access.
There is also a nice little shop and a garden centre on site. If your passing through or going specifically for this place , it's well worth it.
