I am a new patient and I have been with them for only a week. Today I had my first negative experience.
I called them at 8:30am and was waiting on the phone for an hour and I was calling to request access to GP patient online services.
I was number 30 in the queue and have never had to wait for that long.
I was told that it could only be done by myself going into the practice with ID and to fill out a form. I went with the intention to do this but was then told that they can only except a valid passport or driver's license or I can't have access.
I explained to the receptionist that I do not have any of them and she just said that it is their policy.
I was able to register as a patient without any photographic ID but can't use it for the online service. Absolutely crazy!
Everyone should be able to access the information that they need easily but it is a very difficult system. Without access to the online stuff, you have to call and physically go into the building for everything. Appointments, medications etc.
Not fair and would not recommend to anyone.
Absolutely SHAMFUL!!! And potentially DANGEROUS!!!
So my father this evening visited this alleged doctors Surgery for an on-going problem of metallic taste in the mouth, my father believe,s that it is an infection in the mouth region. So after explaining this to the doctor this is her professional response.
The GP wants to Send my father away to have tests for bowel cancer, blood tests of any "Bugs" and does not investigate the mouth or to even take the time to look.
Upon hearing this when my father returned home, my mother rang the surgery to complain. My mother being her sixties and disabled received an awful attitude from the receptionist. My mother told the lady on the phone that she will leave the surgery and the call was ended.
Shortly after the phone rang, I told my mother to audio record the phone call.
My mother answered and the manager of the surgery rang to say that she overheard the phone call and was not happy with the way my mother spoke to her receptionist and has also spoke to the female doctor in question and what I heard from the manager was unbelievable . The doctor has called my father a liar.
Stating that he came in about his bowels and that his mouth is fine. Why would a patient go see the doctor and talk about something else? And why would a doctor lie???? To me a doctor that makes false statements are potentially dangerous and to say that my father is lieing about the reason he attended in the outset is disgraceful, untrustworthy, unprofessional and unexplainable. I will be taking this further and with what I've heard through the recording of the phone call my mother has in her procession I'm sure the surgery will be full of regret.
No duty of care from the manager, absolute incompetence from a GP and a receptionist that is rude and stuck up.
I strongly believe that this surgery has lost the love for caring for the local community and should retire ungracefuly.
For all those who have read this to the end then I thank you and I strongly recommend that you do not let your family come to this alleged surgery.
Me and my family started coming to this medical centre as our last one was absolutely disgraceful. This medical centre is no better! Only once have i actually been listened to and that was by the DR, i can’t even make an appointment as i have been on hold for the last half hour.
The absolute worst doctor's surgery. Had a major op at the start of the year for something that could've potentially been cancerous. Took them almost two years to take it seriously. Now I'm having similar issues, couldn't get an appointment so I went to a private consultant who immediately wrote me a referral letter. GP didn't accept it as it was a pdf and they told me to take it to hospital. Went back and forth for ages until the GP surgery told me to make an appointment to get one from them. I work long shifts and it's very difficult to find time to sit on hold at 8am. Walked in on Tuesday morning, asked for an appointment later that day or tomorrow. I was told if I need an appointment, then to call at 8am. Called at 8am, on hold for half an hour and when I got through, they had no more appointments. Called again this morning, no more morning appointments, but availability for the afternoon. I decided to put my health first and that I would be late for work to make the appointment. Waited for almost half an hour to be seen until I had to leave again. God knows how much later for work I would've been if I had stayed. I'm not even sure if the doctor was there. Overall, the receptionists are lovely (they must've replaced a few) but the organisation, the scheduling, the entire way it's run is awful. Avoid
Was referred here for an IUD replacement. Dr was unprofessional and caused me a lot of pain. IUD was placed incorrectly and now has to be replaced. Would never go back. Obviously trying to break into a new market but hurting people and damaging their fertility in the process. Dr was really eager to give me his phone number so I could refer my friends!
Excellent medical centre been registered since 2006 never had a problem. Receptionists are for me very friendly and helpful so the people putting them down probably rude first. I've never had issues. The doctors have always taken Time to sort out any problems I've had latest being trapped nerve in shoulder repetitive strain injury. Showed physio to help ease the pain. For me very professional practice.
Absolutely disgusting service from the receptionist, actually had the cheek to tell me I'm not asthmatics because I haven't had a pump prescribed since 2020, apparently it left me.as a child! how dare she!! Then denied me a pump when I'm practically begging!! I have been having trouble breathing for years because of the fact I'm so scared to go the doctors , and this is the reason why, every time I go I end up in an argument with the receptionist because they think they are medically certified to tell me what my condition is or isn't!! Absolutely disgusting surgery should be ashamed of themselves to be run in such a horrible way, no friendliness whatsoever absolute attitude from the second she answered the phone! Go get a different job if you can't be nice to people !!
If I could rate this GP 0 I would.
Have been next to no help since the 'pandemic' started, overly cautious about what seems to be some form of cold. I have been spoken to rudely by a particular receptionist on more than one occasion.
Been waiting nearly 2 years for a follow up appointment at the balance clinic, the balance clinic is blaming the GP for no referral & the GP tells me it has been sent ( I have been suffering vertigo / off balance issues )
I have had to pay for a private blood test because they refuse to send me to have my bloods taken, this is expensive and I cannot afford to keep having them done.
I called roughly a month ago to explain I need a blood test for high iron levels as I am experiencing worrying symptoms, I was advised I need to have a telephone appointment with the doctor which was a 2 and a half week wait. I accepted the appointment only to be told a day before the appointment that the doctor is off sick and my appointment is cancelled.. I will need to call to re-book.
You have to listen to 4 minutes worth of trollop about coronavirus before you join the queue to actually speak to someone, then you sit on hold for what seems like eternity and 9/10 no one bothers answering the phone.
GP is not fit for purpose, NHS is not fit for purpose.
