Best KPortal Reviews
Great tasting food as always! My photo doesn't do it justice, but I was more interested about eating than photography! Crispy shredded beef, chicken curry, mushroom foo yung, vegetable chow mein, sweet & sour chicken balls and fried rice - great!
Food was really poor and overpriced. Lemon chicken came with one breast stuffed into a small box, with hardly any sauce, which was very bland. Salt and pepper chicken was probably less than one breast cut into the thinnest slices and deep fried. Boiled rice was good, but hard to get that wrong. Shame to speak badly of a small business in a small town, but I can't recommend it to anyone. Limited redeeming features except it looks cleaner than many Chinese takeaways and the staff are friendly.
The best chinese food in town. Been going here for over 20 years, consistently good quality, great service. Been going here for over 20 years
Excellent food piping hot really good value my new favorite place
High recommended. Food, service is great, portions could be bigger but it will be good quality.
Daily Chef Chinese you can trust...
Wonderful food delicious as always highly recommended to anyone
Ordered a chicken curry, sweet and sour chicken hong kong style and a pancake roll. The sauce of the curry was very nice but the chicken was to fatty to eat so ended up chucking it away. The portion size of the Sweet and sour chicken was a joke. The pancake roll was soggy and I believe from the night before. We use the daily chef pretty much every weekend but won’t be going forward. Meat quality is terrible and I don’t believe portion size represents the money paid.
If the quality of the food remains as it currently is, I can't see the Daily Chef existing much longer and that would be a terrible shame. The food lacked any real flavour, in particular the chicken chow mein which was tasteless. The meat was fatty and the chicken resembled a soggy, regurgitated substitute! Sadly we will not be returning, as I thoroughly resented the £20 of hard earned cash that I spent on the meal ????
