I am hearing-impaired and rely on public places providing loop systems. I recently attended three hearings at this court, and the only apparatus available was a small portable gadget (amplifier?)with a TINY microphone, which was completely useless. Court staff were clearly not trained in dispensing and advising on the use of these - no one seemed to have a clue. In consequence I could hear absolutely NOTHING during the hearings and had to rely on my barrister to brief me afterwards. Fortunately I was never questioned directly during the hearings because I would have been unable to hear. The court has a legal duty to make sure everyone attending hearings can take a full part otherwise justice cannot be provided. The court therefore has a legal responsibility to provide a proper loop system in all courtrooms and for hearing-impaired people to be provided with over-the-ear headsets which are tuned in to the electronic signal (not acoustic) from the loop system. Something needs to be done about this MOST URGENTLY.
Family Court would not help fathers. Caffcass based their case on assumptions only and not how it is in real life. Absolutely disgusting
The staff are friendly. Judge Harris was rude and took on board what my defent said in court verbally!! Absolutely shocked and disgusted with this court
Hell will freeze over before anyone at this Court will answer the telephone. Typically between and Hour and an Hour and a Half to get an answer. If your solicitors were charging you for the time wasted waiting on this extremely bad service, it would be costing you the client around £300. Absolutely disgusting.
Compared to 25, 20, 15 or even 10 years ago the service is nothing short of appalling. There really is no point calling this court unless you want to listen to lift muzak for 20 to 30 minutes with the occasional break to learn how important your call is to them!
Very poor service! Phone calls go unanswered for nearly 1.5 hours! Does anybody actually pick up the phones?? …yes blah blah your busy …arent we all!! Get more staff in!!!
They take fees for a money claim and what the hell for if you are not there to help!!!! Just take the money and say oh too much work etc well dont take the HIGH fees if you cant deliver! Money grabbing!
Extremely poor service .... phone calls go unanswered Obviously the director of this facility needs to recruit efficient call agents. l hope the Director reads this and does what they are paid for i.e. provide an efficient service for the public who pays for the service. NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE - SYSTEMATIC FAILURE.
A very Poorly run court. A Simple family access case was allowed to drag on for over 1.5years. Court dates were cancelled at the very last minute on the day. Causing massive wasted costs for barrister and solicitors attendances. Was a complete waste of time and money. Those who choose to use court. Just make the children suffer more. This place does not treat parents equally and balance fair access accordingly.
