We decided to sample several starters instead of having the usual starter and main, as they sounded very interesting. So glad we did...they were all excellent and none disappointed. Compliments to the Chef & his team on their delicious food.
Sadly, the waitstaff seemed to be inexperienced so the service was somewhat erratic. The decor & ambience were very nice.
Just finished a very uninspiring American themed meal at colleys.
We have come away feeling that we didn't get the yum factor tonight so fairly disappointing as we have enjoyed their regular offerings on previous visits. Very limited menu including only 2 choices for desert so we ordered both and had one bite of each and sent it back to which a £10 refund was given so we were great full for the gesture but the experience and food quality it's not what you would expect for the price.
Came here for dinner during the week as we were in the area for an event and this restaurant had come highly recommended. We were not expecting such an incredible culinary feast and service to match- we all agreed it was one of best meals we'd had in ages. Would recommend in a heartbeat! We will definitely be back!
Enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch here, a relaxed and unrushed affair, where all diners are served together, and the menu choices are brought out prior to each course so you can see before choosing. The food was fantastic and the staff were great too. Will be visiting again for another Sunday afternoon feast.
Dropped by for Sunday lunch. The pork shoulder was nice. If you like pork scratchings then don't be shy and ask for more cause it's really nice. I also like that you get a piece of pretty sausage roll with your Sunday roast.
Amazing food and dining experience! Last time I went to Colleys was over 10 years ago - can't believe how refreshingly different it is now. Very informal, but still with a distinct feel of being something special! 10/10 from me!
Went for lunch today for the first time. Very warm welcome, excellent service and superb food, could not fault it. The ladies loved the puddings (I was too full!) Will definitely be returning!
Colleys is a really stand out restaurant in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, the menu has a lot of choice and a huge variety within the choices,and the food was cooked perfectly. Everyone enjoyed it and we'll be going back soon
