What a find! We had a lovely lunch there with a friend, perfect location for us to meet in the middle. Food was wonderful, with plenty of traditional options. Lovely friendly staff with a comfortable inviting atmosphere. We will definitely be going back!
Excellent afternoon tea. Plenty of lovely food and fresh cakes. Highly recommend
Quite and generous tea rooms with lovely cakes ????
The Codford tea rooms is located in the old George Pub just off the main road through the village. There is good parking outside and along the road.
On arriving we were welcomed in by the staff, with a good selection of teas and cake we quickly placed out order and made ourselves comfortable.
Our order of a cream tea and walnut cake with a tea arrived swiftly. The servings were generous, hitting the spot perfectly for what we’re looking for!
A great place to stop for 11zis, afternoon tea or lunch. Open 10 till 430 7 days a week. I had a cheese sandwich with tomato chutney which was wonderful and my wife had a toasted sandwich other food served while there as all freshly cooked as you can see into kitchen. Sign posted off A36. No wheelchair access or disabled toilet. Nice and cosy with log burner, we called in in January 2023. Enjoy your stop. ???????????????????? see you again soon on our journey from Weston-super-Mare to Fordingbridge
Visited with my eighty-nine year old mother who is not known for her large appetite. She hasn't smiled or eaten so much cake for decades! It was coffee and walnut and totally delicious as you can see. Old fashioned service and feeling, with some loose leaf teas too!
I’ve had a lot of afternoon teas mostly good…but the one on offer at the Codford Tea Rooms was EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD!!!????????. Unusually I went for a cheese scone and it was fantastic with cream cheese and a chilli jam. Home made as were the cakes. Really friendly staff and although from outside it doesn’t look particularly special, it’s def worth a visit!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We normally miss Codford using the bypass but turned off because we needed diesel. We trundled down the village to get back to the main road, rather than straight back after filling up. Saw the signs for the tea rooms and decided to stop.
What a great idea, very quirky but wonderful fried eggs and bacon and coffee, perfectly cooked.
We will definitely have to revisit.
Beautiful day, lovely home cooked food which was delicious, well priced and good size portions. Staff polite friendly and courteous. Can't wait until the other outside garden is finished.
