Have been here a few times and always been 100% satisfied. Today, both pieces of cod tasted old, looked a little grey and one piece the centre was hard and rubbery, no flakes.
Disappointed. New chef? Frozen fish?

I came over from Canada to visit family in Saltash and had dinner one night from Codfathers. Ordered two Sausage and Chips and I will admit, it was very nice. Definitely will be back again.
Been coming here for years when they used to have a restaurant and seating area. The last few times the cod has been dry and the haddock still had the skin on!. The menu options have also reduced, I used to love the scampi.
The best fish & chips we have had in age's. Tasty fresh big portion.
Got there 19:49. Took 6 minutes to get served only to be told there was no fish or chips. And they weren’t going to cook any as they shut at 20:00. Bad customer service to be honest and I’ve never heard of a fish and chip closing at 20:00 considering it’s the only fish and chip shop in Fore Street. Can’t rate the food down as their fish does taste lovely.
Great tasting fish and chips. Nice light batter. Pleasant staff.
This is the second piece of cod that is awful. First undercooked and the second this evening is chewy ! It’s like eating rubber !! Last time I will be purchasing there overpriced minuscule fish and chips ..
