We called in for something to eat when staying over in Hornsea. We won't be back.
The atmosphere was of thst eating in a rowdy pub. The service was non existent unless you asked for it (getting up or shouting them over) and the food was so very mediocre. The food either came out cold, burnt, not as we asked for it or with zero flavour.
Left a bad impression at the end when we went to change the kid in the disabled toilet where there was a cupboard open then was like a mini basement with mops etc the kid ran straight at, and the fact there was no hand drying facilities. When pointed out to the manager about everything we were given a sorry and thst "ooh you're right theres no hand drying in there".
Went here for dinner, was seated quickly, food menu was good and fairly priced. Food arrived quickly and was very nice, I got the margherita pizza, small nachos (quite a lot for small), stuffed jalapenos and the other half had fajita (pulled pork) there was too much food! But good :) it did get busy which means orders and the wait staff took longer but that's to be expected when busy :)
Went in for lunch today with a resident from the care home I work at and the food was tasty and the staff are so friendly, accommodating and couldn't do enough for us bringing extra napkins, extra plates and totally ok with the little bit of mess we made. Made us feel very welcome and disabled friendly. Many thanks.
Called in over bank holiday to watch football and have a bite to eat. Service was great and so was our food. Would recommend to anyone as a venue for sport...Great decor too!

NOT A RESTAURANT ANYMORE! Don't make that mistake. The old Med Mex has gone and replaced by a modernised venue (but is a retro 80s Sport come Night place style Pink, Neon and Flowery affair). Okay for an average beer *BUT* the food is truly awful and the service laughable. The young lady with dark hair was trying really hard but the rest were embarassing and very lazy. Sad to see the demise of a once respected Hornsea restaurant. Will maybe call, very occasionally, for a beer. Certainly won't eat there again or be a regular like the last 5 years.
I'm vegitarian and don't eat meat or fish. Ordered food and was given a fish starter saying it was something else. Well when they realised the mistake I had taken a bite and it had put me off as felt sick after this happened. What if I was elergic to fish as well and was given this? I did tell the staff and how it put me off the rest of the food, they did nothing like offer a refund or offer me something else, as this was their mistake and not mine. Almost 20 quid down the drain, not happy at all. This was two seperate orders, onion rings and Calamari.. the staff brought out the first dish and said it was onion rings with only the sauce I had asked for (ketchup & mayo) this turned out to be Calamari! My friend asked where her order was (Calamari) and they said it wouldn't be long and this turned out to be the onion rings. Your Staff should know the dishes they are serving, you wouldn't want to give a customer nuts with a nut allergy!!
Absolutely lovely restaurant and bar. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is amazing
