Our stay was excellent - the room very clean, quiet, and nicely appointed. Deb and Mark very generous and helpful people and my husband & I enjoyed our stay very much. The pub, also, is lovely. Deb provided a delicious full breakfast, right on time too, as we had to leave early to catch a train. Both Deb and Mark made us feel right at home. Loved our time at the Collins Arms, would stay again.
Stayed at Collins Arms for 2 nights 2 adults and 2 children. The room was outside and fabulous. Clean, fresh and very comfortable with plenty of space. The staff and customers were as friendly as could be and made us feel so welcome even the children were welcomed with open arms. Breakfast was fantastic as much as you could eat both continental and English were on offer every morning. Nothing was too much trouble and Debbie and Mark should be very proud of the way they run things. Thank you so much for the brilliant time.
Good accommodation! Quiet place but there aren't free parking areas around. Collins Arms have bought a land just next to theirs for 4-5 cars parking so future visits could be good. The owners were very friendly and good breakfast! We lost the room keys and Mark and wife were very kind not to charge us extra! Thank you again!
A small and friendly pub with some accommodation. I was researching and found it suited my needs very well on a 4 night stay..||Welcoming, warm, v. comfortable room, everywhere clean. Good breakfast; congenial company in the bar: what more could one ask for? At the top end of Redruth with easy access to the station and bus stops very near for frequent travel to Truro, St Ives and Penzance. Good personal touches in the room. Excellent wi-fi etc..Highly recommended!
We stayed here from Friday to Sunday august bank holiday weekend. We had a lovely welcome from the owners, who interacted well with our three children, telling jokes and winding them up lol|The place was clean, tidy and well looked after comfortable beds and a lovely breakfast the next morning with plenty of choice. They catered well for us with a fussy eater and a baby. Would definately stay there again
We had a room with a double bed and a single bed in it. It was in an annexe at the back of the pub and we were delighted that we did not hear anything of the busy road outside or the pub clientele. The facilities in the room were straightforward but a pleasant surprise was the replacement of the complimentary water bottles during our stay. We had the English breakfast, but my wife who is vegetarian was given scrambled eggs when the wrong food was brought to her by mistake. The quantities were more than adequate for most appetites.
A simple place to stay, but the straightforward and basic looks belie a warm welcome good food and an extraordinarily comfortable night. I would happily have extended my stay if work would have allowed me. The location right in the middle of town just a stone's throw from the railway station is also ideal. For under £40 don't expect chocolate on your pillow but do expect to feel welcome and comfortable.
The room was clean and very pleasant. More home comforts than I expected for the price. Even though the rooms are above the pub it wasn't too noisy. I would recommend to anyone wanted a centrally located stop off. Breakfast was lovely and the hospitality was very friendly.
