Best KPortal Reviews

Previously a B&B, this is now just a B - no breakfast is provided and there’s limited (read: no) options nearby if without car.
Cold welcome from owner, this is a real bare minimum situation which is a shame as the location is great.
If booking, check which room you’re staying in - we were in the blue front room of the building, which had a lot of road noise, noise from room above and hall, and no way to lock the door when not inside as it’s just a push lock (we put valuables in the lockable wardrobe). Felt like a Youth Hostel but without the competitive pricing.
Our room lacked the extras mentioned in other reviews: it’s a basic, cold room with kettle and instant coffee, small bathroom with what looks like previous guests’ left behind shampoo and conditioner (no body wash), and nothing else. Ok for one night (if expensive at £100)
Lovely room, it has a very comfortable bed and a nice en-suit shower and toilet. There's a communal kitchen at the end of the corridor with all that you need. The price is good and the host Sadie is very friendly and helpful.||Would gladly return!
Stayed in this small B&B on the high Street, which accommodated 3 of us in one room. It was close to all amenities & had a kitchen with a fridge freezer so you could store & cool drinks etc. I would only recommend the following. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, so do ask for a fan. I would suggest bedside cabinets or a table to put a drink on & the most important is a mirror as the only mirror was in the bathroom with no sockets so as we were going to a wedding & being 3 ladies we needed this to get ready. I actually found a mirror in the garden which I cleaned up & used. I would suggest a full length on the wall by a socket. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. We had everything from fruit, yogurt, gluten-free & normal cereals and a cooked breakfast. Along with fresh juice, coffee & tea. Lady was lovely.
Stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Cosy cottage with log fire and big screen TV in the lounge. Clean comfy bedroom with good WiFi connection free of charge. |Sade the host is lovely and we had a very interesting conversation about the crop circles in the area. |Breakfast was freshly cooked to order with everything you my expect.|Great value for money in a quaint village.
My dog and I stayed in the garden room. It was beautifully clean and warm. The bed was very comfortable. There were tea making facilities, and a nice en-suite with a bath and overhead shower. Hot water a plenty. So relaxing to jump into a nice warm bath after a long drive. Then into bed. There's even a TV.
Plenty of choice for breakfast, beautifully cooked and served by Sadie, who made us feel very relaxed and welcome. It was so nice to chat with her at breakfast.
Convenient setting on High Street, a quiet place to stay at the end of the day. Comfortable room with modern conveniences, and a great breakfast to start the day. I cannot say enough good things about Sadie’s welcome, check-in, helpful information (she’s a long-time local) and wonderful breakfasts! She went above and beyond when I had a problem with my foot while on a walking holiday! I will never forget her kindness to me, and to other guests. Sadie is truly a super host.
This is my 3rd time I’ve stayed here on my way to pick up early from Reading Station tomorrow. It’s such a lovely place to stay and the owner Sadie is lovely. Evening meal always perfect and breakfast lovely too. Definitely recommend to everyone. Room very clean and comfortable.
Very friendly welcome. Spotless B&B. Location and parking very easy. All in all, a delightful find in an attractive part of the county. The breakfast was just what I wanted, with an excellent cup of tea!
