We've stopped by a few times while passing through town for fish and chips, and we have always been satisfied. We sit in to eat, and food is served fresh out the pan, hot and crispy.
Gets very busy, allow half an hour from entering to leaving as the ques don't move very quickly. But relax, enjoy the peace, when else would you have this time to yourself. And, it is so worth the wait. Food is great. The person serving recently is great, friendly, welcoming, accurate. Give it a go, you will be glad you waited.
Sorry guys but the kebab meat and salad, with hot chilli sauce I ordered was not good, it came in the pitta which I didn't want, I had a job finding the salad! And I found a tiny blob of chilli sauce lurking in a corner of the paper! Not much meat either for 6 quid! I waited 15 mins for it too! The young lad serving was pleasant though, the lady didn't seem to have anything ready to go, it had to be cooked, not good when you have 9 people in the queue.
I've used this Chippy once a week for many years, I've enjoyed my food from here always, for every 1 bad review there will be a hundred who enjoyed their fish and chips and never bothered to post a review ????
Amazing fresh fish and chips. Could smell it walking back to the car from our amazing trek of Carding Mill Valley. Definitely worth a visit to this Chip shop if you park up in the little town for your visit to Carding Mill
Very busy, so can forgive missing part of the order. Luckily, we had only got to the car when we realised. Very good chippy plenty of choice.
We’ve had a busy day walking and I was desperate for fish and chips! Phoned ahead and ordered thankfully, collected at five. Drove up the Mynd and literally soaked up the sunset with a delicious meal! Piping hot food - quality fish and yummy curry sauce. It will go down as one of my best meals and one we will remember for a long time ????
Awful tasteless thin greasy fried fish and hard chips as if had been reheated -food not hot and we bought just after shop opened at lunch time.
