This place is without doubt the friendliest fish shop I’ve ever been to. The people are wonderful such a great atmosphere. The food is amazing also.

The best fish and chip shop in the UK and Ireland. We always make a bee line for this shop when visiting family. It's always the highlight of our trip from Dublin. You can call in advance so that your order is ready when you arrive. The fish has to be tried and the battered sausages. All cooked fresh and the batter is never soggy. The kebabs are another firm favourite. The staff are so friendly and approachable and have a knack for remembering long orders which is uncanny. Definitely give this takeaway a visit you will not be disappointed.

No contest: this is the best fish and chips in Stafford or for miles around. The fish is fresh, not frozen, and is as sweet as can be. My goodness but Stafford is lucky to have this.
My friend visiting England from Sweden has been excited to try real chip shop fish and chips for some time now. So, they had to be the best, and Chris Fish Bar that we have been using for over 20 years delivered the perfect battered cod, chips with curry sauce. My friend thoroughly enjoyed it and said he will miss it when he goes home. It was really good, cooked perfectly and fresh.
Our family consider Chris Fish Bar to be the best in Stafford. It's consistent regardless of what time or day and the staff are friendly. We're quite happy to drive to the other side of Stafford when we want our fish & chips, they never disappoint!

Hand on heart you won’t taste better fish!! People say that the fish on the coast have the best taste, and I partly agree that they do, however… at Chris’ Fish Bar I beg to differ!!!! It is out of this world…EVERY….SINGLE…..TIME! I am a regular and have never, ever had a bad or even an average meal here, it’s always incredible, cooked to perfection and tastes delicious!!! If you haven’t tried it, you’re definitely missing out so get on down and give it a try, you will not be disappointed and that’s a promise!! Top Quality Fish!

My Family have been using Chris's probably since the doors first opened.
It is by far the best chippy on the PLANET!
If you think about it......you won't get a better fish and chips anywhere in the world then the UK.....and you won't get a better fish and chips in the UK then Chris's (I have eaten at chip shops up and down the country when I was on the tools and nothing compares) so by default that makes it the best in the world ???? ????.
Seriously though you won't beat the fish...it is on point every single time without fail.....consistency is the key.
From a price stance, the cost are very fair, when you consider the quality of the produce they are using and with fresh fish daily, the prices are more then fair.....just remember people everyone has been forced to increase their prices, and I know for a fact George always keeps his prices fair for the customers and for the business. (Probably less so for the business)

11/10. Food was absolutely delicious, always greeted with a smile and great service as always. George is always so friendly. My friend has anxiety and won’t talk however George made her feel comfortable enough that she wasn’t scared to say her order ☺️
