Dreadful weather- went to Chips ahoy for a relatively large order - 9 meals! Two young people serving were polite pleasant and helpful! Food was exactly as ordered- freshly cooked and tasty thank you!

I think this place has changed owners they have gave us soggy chips even though We have told them we want it well Fried. I would be so embarrassed if I had the chip shop and giving my customer this chips. absolutely disgusting. It never used to be like this such a shame.

Bought cod and chips from here tonight. It was a rainy Wednesday night and it was busy in a good way! Cod and regular chips cost £11. Portion was filling. Service was quick considering thr number of customers waiting. Food was lovely, particularly the chips!

This place only takes cash payment. It’s 2024. Wake up. Turned away £30 plus from us this evening because of this. Who is running your business?

I've read some of the other reviews and they sound like utter nonsense!! I think there are a lot of nasty people trying to close this place down or something sinister as every time I've been to chips ahoy it's been a lovely experience and the quality of the food is as you would expect from a professional fish and chips shop.

I think you should ignore the snotty reviews made up by this sinister mob of Muppets and go see for yourself.

Trust me the dish and chips were amazing and really fresh and well cooked .I think you have to accept it for what it is, a fish and chips shop. It's not fine dining nonsense.
