Just ordered prawn toast, special curry and portion chips. £16.40. The only thing nice about the meal was it was hot. I will never order again from there, the meat in the curry was like boot leather in watery soup. prawn toast was sesame only. Sorry very DISAPPOINTED
Started to go to this Chinese about 2 months ago and have had very good food. Generally order the same thing which is Singapore vermicelli, salt and pepper chicken and salt and pepper chips.
Last night ordered the above and the salt and pepper chips and chicken was not edible. There so much sugar and salt it would have genuinely probably made us ill if we ate it. It was terrible.
As this didn’t seem standard practice I spoke to the manager was and I was very polite and explained how it wasn’t the norm.
I was met with a snotty, arrogant response and he wasn’t prepared to listen and told me that I was basically wrong; that’s “how it is” and some people “ask for more” salt sometimes.
The way he treat me was vile, no apology, no offer to replace food or give us it free of charge next time or any refund.
Absolutely shocking customer, you don’t know how to speak to people and we will never ever be returning.

My husband found this take away purely by accident driving home from work. It was the best find ever. We have visited regularly and never had a poor meal. It is worth the drive from Barnsley. The customer service is excellent our food is wrapped up really well to keep it warm. I ordered chicken satay and rice and chicken and pineapple with chips, and seaweed. The food was tasty and cooked to perfection every time. I highly recommend China Town. Thank you so much we will be back! ???????? ????
Nothing to brag about, food OK but overpriced, bought two special Curry's with fried rice and chips, the curry had no pork and one prawn no mushrooms or peas,looked very bland, basically it was curry sauce with meat thrown in for the price i would have expected more, won't be going again
I ordered special fried rice with my meal I got home and it was egg fried rice I rang up and got told that I asked for egg lol since when did special sound like egg ? Got told I would need to buy rice again or take other rice back for refund so I took it back and refused to wait as my other food was cold when I got home and I couldn't warm it up for my original order no apology just basically told me they we're right I was wrong also only ever get 1 prawn in the curry's etc
Recently moved to the area and was worried to try a new Chinese place. We tried China Town and now won’t go anywhere else. The food is delicious and always hot when it arrives. They tell you on the phone 30-45 minute wait and never once have we waited any longer than 15 minutes! (Even during peak times) The staff on the phone and delivery staff are always so friendly too. We’ll never go anywhere else and always recommend to family and friends. They were shut for 6 weeks over Christmas and we tried another place and was so disappointed- we were relieved when they re-opened.
