Update - New Review Visited the Chicken Shop yesterday: Honestly, its a real let down this place.
Customer Service: Thank god the Awful Indian Lady is not there, she really gives a bad vibe and has a proper bad attitude. The customer service from the new guys is really nice.
Price: It has gone up, most people get chicken strips and pizza.
Value for Money: No, there is better quality food if you cross the street towards Chicken city or Amigos.
Food: It has really gone up and down based on the reviews. For me the food has dropped a lot in standards.
The Chips were really bad, like don’t buy chips, its not fresh, its not even crispy.
How does fresh chips have that many discoloured ones or rotten ones, It really let me down.
For the money you pay, it feels like you are getting ripped off. Thats the same feeling with most customers there.
There is a reason why all tables are never occupied at once.
The table across me was complaining how bad their chips were. Few of the regulars stated don’t buy chips here its gone down in standards but up in price.
Burger: Bun is awful and falls apart, but the meat is great, so the standards have defo dropped in cooking the food but the quality of burger is the same. No sauce or very little mayo,
Would I recommend to buy a burger from this place? No.
Every other Tooting chicken shop serves better burgers with more flavour and better sauces.
Will it fill you up? No
Is it clean? Yes, the guys really do clean the tables.

Are they tight with their sauces when handing out free Mayo: Yes still.
Basically Chesters are buying really expensive mayo, so you bring your own sauces to this chicken shop or cross the road and get free sauces. They hate giving out free sauces.
Does the bun Fall apart before you eat it? Yes
Is the cheese melted? No.
Was it worth it to pay over £7 for a meal? No
Should you return or even visit? Hell No.
This business has really lets down its customers in the wings and chips department and burgers.
You can tell, they are using old oil and rushing each order.
They really just don’t care about customers.
The table across was surprised I was buying a burger here and recommended Amigos, they stated, “its fresher, and properly cooked with whatever sauce you want on the burger, why are you ordering a burger here?.”
Is Chesters better than all other chicken shops? No
Go visit Amigos, Tankys, Chicken City, Chicks or anyone, they will cook you better quality chips and everything else.
Will you get rudeness back from the daytime staff for asking for more Mayo or Sauce? Yes
The Chicken burger fillet meat tastes good but really not worth it.
Its also very Dry, with very little mayo, the cheese is not melted.
For a burger meal above £7 its not good enough in Tooting broadway.
The bun is most likely from Poundshop or its afew days old, it falls apart way too easily. It really let me down.
The chips are most likely refried from yesterday.
They are just not crispy, that kind of owner is not in, here you go, this is what we cook or reheat, take it or leave it kind of chicken shop.
More money has been spent into the look of the store, less money into the quality control of food. The standards have really dropped, and its just not tasty. It wasn't like this before.
Its a shame. I really wanted to like this place.
My advice, AVOID this place, Just cross the road, try Amigos or Chicken City or anyone for a better meal.
After eating the food, you realise I should have gone somewhere else, better customer service, better quality food with less awful chips, and just better value for the money you pay for.
Keep in mind no attitude, and free sauces to add to your food that you pay for in all chicken shops,
just Chesters are really tight with their super special expensive Sauces.
The cold bun falls apart before I eat the burger.
Just get the strips or pizza.
This place has Really let me down.
There is a reason why no one responds with mmmm or this tasty or I am defo coming back here again.
Chesters is one of our families favorite take away food. Specially their burgers are fully loaded , fresh and tasty.
There pizza are always on point .
Definitely recommend if you are fed up of local chicken shops.
1/89. The first of the 89 Tooting Chicken Shops I will be reviewing in 2024.
The Chicken Pieces are allright. The bigger pieces are a little dry but I came in at 01.30 so that’s to be expected. The Chicken Wrap on the other hand was an absolute banger: crispy, good sauces and lovely lettuce. I’d definitely recommend that.
I’ll be back in 2025!
Good food and great service! My only issue is the paper container of the chicken rice was overfull, hence why 4 stars instead of 5. Usually it's nice to have a full container of food, but when it's paper and not sturdy it just ends up falling out the sides.
Loved this spot every time I come here, there's so many options to choose from ???? it's hard to pick a favourite item but if I had to choose it would be the fillet o fire wrap. The pizza was fresh and tasty and I love those that have a nice selection of desserts to satisfy sweet cravings. Would deffoo come back
Banging food I sat here and had an enjoyable experience.amaad and sugan in particular were very professional and helpful. Very satisfied with their customer service.
Their pizzas are sooo cheesy and delicious!! Their chicken burgers are huge and really really good too. My new favourite spot, can't wait to try other items on the menu ????
