My local pub, love the place! Great atmosphere, food and plenty if drinks on offer. Pool table and Sports shown too, couldn't ask for more!
Very disappointing Sunday lunch experience today. The service throughout was lacklustre and manager was really rude to her staff in front of customers which was completely inappropriate. Food wasn't great, veg overcooked and only one vegetarian option which was greasy and flavourless. I wouldn't recommend.
We were attending a wake for a friend.
The food laid on by Chesters was enjoyed by everyone I think.

Excellent food, very hospitable
Did not like having to walk through the smoking area to enter from the car park????
This was a great pub with an excellent resturant where you had to book at least 2 days in advance for weekends. We used to eat there quite often and take friends but no more.
It had a refurbished function room which was very well used.
Was very well patronised last time we went on a Sat night it had certainly gone down hill.
What a change since change of management
Although a little blip with wait time. Management explained and resolved which was more than expected. Some other pubs could learn from this place. Excellent customer service and the food brilliant along with friendly helpful owners.
Excellent customer service from beginning of meal to the end. Staff and regulars very friendly. Food was excellent. Even though very busy the food arrived early. Definitely be returning soon.
