Visited today for coffee and cake. The venue is beautiful (although extremely cold) and the waitress was lovely. However, there were no vegan cake options (out of about six cakes), and the only vegan food was a samosa or bhaji! Extremely disappointing and very much behind the times; far better places available close-by
Was there yesterday, staff really lovely, that's why I've given the 3 stars.
Food was awful, son had a flapjack which looked like something from a hamster cage and was so dry and hard.
Hubby had a supposed to be a cheesy sausage roll that was also hard and hunt the cheese.
Chocolate milkshake that tastes of nothing.
Tea served in mugs which isn't great and sweetener that was either got wet or old as it was a solid mass.
Like I say staff was lovely but would never return.
Certainly not worth the £25 spent
A sweet, cosy cafe. Indoor and outdoor seating in a courtyard, next to a bookshop and florist, and right next to the main car park. Nice range of healthy options. The Coco Loco smoothie was very tasty (mango, pineapple, coconut, lime, mint). Pictured is a gluten free pea quiche, which was very good. Dropped a star due to the sausage sandwich, which was made with doughy bread and cold, flavourless sausage. Could do with better ingredients to match the rest of the menu.
After visiting Petworth House this week my friends and I went into Petworth village and the lovely Cherry's Deli.
The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of food which was all reasonably priced. We all had latte's which were delicious. I also had a gluten free raspberry bakewell which was probably the best bakewell I've ever had. It made a refreshing change to have a choice of gluten free cakes, rather than just the usual gluten free brownie which most other places like to play it safe with.
Next time we come to Petworth we will make a point of having a meal at Cherry's. I definitely have my eye on a few of the lunch choices.
We didn’t receive a very warm welcome which wasn’t ideal. But the main problem was the food. Microwaved flabby bacon in a bacon sandwich? Microwaved?! It was awful. You’d get far, far better from a roadside truck stop. And two bacon sandwiches and two coffees cost us close to £20! Coffee was average and, as I say, the bacon sandwich was dreadful. Felt very ripped off. Won’t be back.
Very dissapointing.
Being a vegetarian it can sometimes leave you with little to choose from so i was pleased to see the quiche had an option to come with a salad and chips for £8.50 to eat in which I ordered. I could have chosen take away £3.50. but you only get quiche and honestly I would rather have had the take away.
The salad was some old and sour lettuce leaves only which was desguised in some balsamic vinegar. Not a salad at all no tomatoe or cumcumber it would not even have passed as garnish and i couldnt even eat it it was disgusting, with that I got a handful of Doritos.
I couldn't eat the "salad" but did take a photo because I was so dissapointed.
When I told the cashier inside the deli she just apologised, no compensation.
I am here because of tiktok and the fact that you create so many warm and healthy dishes! Your food always looks great! So does your son????????????
Amazing Cafe, the food totally delicious, indeed, it is one of the best bakery I've ever went to
