Used Chaus for over 10 years always gorgeous food. Ordered fish chips and mushy peas tonight, awful fish really greasy and chips very small and overcooked. Disgusting wont be ordering afain.

Normally a nice chippy to eat from but last weekend wasn't very nice at all. First bad meal we have had from there in the years we have been using it. Id try it again but wouldn't get the special fried rice again as it was swimming in sauce, ruined the meal.
Great chippy with lovely staff. Food was good overall; decent portion sizes, though the chips was a bit of a let down due to them being warm-ups and quite greasy. Apart from that, would go there again.
Ordered from here a few weeks ago, and the salt and pepper ‘chicken’ was served up as fish, quite distinctly from the taste and texture, I was horrified. Phoned up to express the fact I didn’t order any kind of fish, and was greeted with swear words. I was then angrily confronted by the ‘chef’ who waved raw meat at me to exclaim that it wasn’t fish which is unhygienic and a breach of food safety standards - the food was clearly fish and will never never return.

this used to be a really lovely chippy but tonight was shocking. Special fried rice was brown soaked in soy sauce and meat thrown in the top was charred so much it tasted as though they scraped it out of days old fat. The rice was sweet from that much fat and sauce- tasteless- it was thought they had reheated waste food and threw it together. It was vile- 100% don’t go.
Never been a let down from this chippy, called on way home from Oye. The lovely lady who served me had a nice chat with me, as she has in the past. Atmosphere not relevant in a chippy, but a little friendly chat is nice. Spotlessly clean inside as per.
