Best KPortal Reviews
Raw milk available direct from the farm. Their self service set up makes their opening hours very convenient. Reusable milk bottles cuts out on plastic usage/recycling. The customer still pays approx supermarket prices but the farmer gets it all. Great idea and set up.
I shop here every week and it is a gem of a shop with fabulous, fresh milk at really reasonable prices. The meat, dairy, bakery and veg are all local and there are some great deli items to try. Regarding the earlier 1* review by Mr Crane, I was in the shop when he was aggressively rude to the lady trying to help him. She apologised more than once, many times in fact, refunded his money and offered a free product from the fridge. It was a genuine mistake for which an apology was made, but not accepted. There is no need to speak to someone in such a rude way when they are trying to help. The shop staff are always friendly, helpful and courteous. I can't understand why the gentleman didn't look at the date before he bought the yogurt and just mention it then. Please don't be put off by that 1* review by Mr Crane, it doesn't reflect the quality and friendliness of this welcoming shop, only the rudeness of one aggrieved person.
Nice and friendly staff. Always fresh milk
Great quality raw milk. I tried some months back and couldn't go back to the plastic milk of super stores. New vending machine is up so contactless cards are also accepted now.
Used this farm shop yesterday for the first time (17.06) in an attempt to support local business. Upon going to use the live yoghurt we purchased, we discovered is was 9 days out of date. I returned this morning and explained, only to have the cashier completely blame her colleague for not rotating. She then processed a refund and offered me the horrifically out of date goods, citing “it’ll still be fine”. When I declined as the product was for my children and I wouldn’t want to feed them it, she proceeded to lecture me in a very patronising way about how I shouldn’t give my daughters fat free yoghurt. When I insisted she didn’t critique my parenting choices she retaliated by saying “ I have a lot of knowledge on nutrition and just wanted to have an educational conversation” I do not go to the shops with the intent of buying vastly out of date goods and being lectured on my parenting decisions. What a poor excuse of customer service.
Worth a visit. Decent cafe and gift shop. Adjacent parking.
The Farm shop was closed despite what Google said. See the pic with the new timing. Milk also seems to have changed from "raw" - the reason why we headed here - to just "free range". Very disappointing experience, considering the long hike and the lack of infos.
Sells fresh non pasteurised milk great bread selection vegetables sauces for pasta and curries. Sweets small selection large selection of pasties and sausage rolls really worth a visit
Cafe on a farm opposite this one too
