Great place with delicious food in a beautiful setting. I photographed a wedding reception there recently and really enjoyed it. Good facilities and attentive staff helped to make the evening memorable.
We tried the 5-course taster menu, slightly pricy but all plates were exquisite, tasty and a delicious blend of flavours served in decent portions. The service was very good and the Leadenhall market atmosphere complemented a unique dinner.
Incredible food and excellent service. We went for an anniversary meal and it was lovely.
Excellent fish but not so much chips! I ordered their online fish and tips and indeed the fish was superb but the chips were dry and mushy. Was not impressed by it. Overall satisfied because it's a huge portion and good value for money.
Excellent food and wine, service was a bit slow for a lunchtime on my visit. Great place for an important business lunch. Tasting menu with/without wine options available along with more traditional menu. Waiters very knowledgeable about food on the menu and wine/drinks to go with the meal. Price can be seen as quite expensive but not unreasonable.
Fantastic meal here at Chamberlains today. On arrival was welcomed by a friendly young man who took our jackets and showed us to our table. Our waiter for the meal welcomed us and offered us drinks. I ate the butternut squash soup for starter with delicious homemade crusty bread followed by roast beef with all the trimmings the beef was medium rare it was perfect and melted in the mouth. The roast potatoes are to die for ...simply the best. For dessert i had the chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream was perfect every mouthful was enjoyed. To finish off this fantastic meal i had a nice coffee and honeycomb . our waiter was very friendly and professional and knew his food and wine menu well when we asked questions . A very friendly and welcoming restaurant . Looking forward to next time
I had dinner here last week and found it a fairly average affair overall! We both had the £55 tasting menu which consists of 5 courses. The bread was a little dry and the butter very hard (straight out of the fridge) and impossible to spread - rookie error for an established restaurant! The amuse bouche and first dish was decent (lobster bisque and oysters), the fois gras was a miss as it was super rich but also came with a really rich roll of butter and a sweet dense bread - would probably have been better with a plain/savoury cracker and some fruit to balance the richness. The fish dish was decent and well flavoured, but the beef main was undercooked (dripping blood for medium well) and the sides very average. The pear tart came out cold and the pastry was dry and old. Overall, the service was not the best and to top it off - THERE WAS A MOUSE RUNNING AROUND THE RESTAURANT?! They took off 10% from the bill for the mouse but that didn't really make up for a fairly mediocre quality meal and similar service.
We enjoyed fantastic oysters to start. My dish of beautifully prepared fillet of John Dory served with samphire and asparagus was delicious. Service was good-attentive but not intrusive. Fab wine.
