Landed in London for a 3 night stay. Wife and I were craving good home cooked food. Casa Mofongo hit all the right spots. Has the futbol games on, lively atmosphere with Latin music. Amazing servers who are there to elevate your experience. Food so good it made me miss home.
When I walk in, it feels like I'm back in the lively Dominican Republic. The dance classes on Saturdays are my favorite—they're so fun and make me feel alive. And after class, the social dances are just magical—the music and atmosphere make me feel at home. The people here are really friendly and make every visit enjoyable. And the food? It's not just tasty, it's really filling too.
This was my first time in London, England and I wanted to see if I could find an authentic Dominican restaurant. I found the Casa Monfongo and decided to give it a try. I was very disappointed with the service, the food, and the atmosphere. ????????
First, the food we ordered was a picadera, which comes with fried chicken, fried plantains, chicharrón, fries, fried ribs, bofe, and a small side salad. The chicken was good and was fried well. It was tasty and so were the plantains. However, we got one rib, and the chicharrón was salty and tasted like it was refried. ????
On top of the food not being too good, the restaurant was freezing cold. We requested the heat to be put on, but the waitress just acted like they did something, but nothing happened. ????
After requesting to be moved to a more comfortable area, nothing happened. ????
Also, the restaurant only had two waitresses working like robots, which made everything come out slow. ????

Lovely local restaurant. Celebrating my friend's birthday. Food and drinks were affordable and big portions. Lovely staff. Beautiful music. It's get very hot in the private room. But overall a place to get your dancing on and enjoy the night.

Music a little bit too loud but that’s just a personal preference, I do understand that you go there to eat and dance , service quick and gave us a doggy bag as well to bring food home !
Great experience, authentic Dominican Food. Reminded me of back home. Owner was extremely nice and offered a piece of cake and shots on the house.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the new location of Casa Mofongo Bar Restaurant in Brixton area and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that was adorned with beautiful Caribbean decorations, instantly transporting me to the tropics.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Our waitresses Marinel and Naomi were especially delightful and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied throughout our entire dining experience.
But the star of the show was undoubtedly the food. The menu offered a wide variety of traditional Dominican dishes, and everything we ordered was simply delicious. From the tender and flavorful chicken to the perfectly seasoned rice and beans, every bite was a delight.
The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we received. The restaurant also had a great selection of drinks, including some amazing Caribbean cocktails like Morir Soñando that were the perfect accompaniment to our meal.
Overall, I had an amazing experience at Casa Mofongo. The new location is spacious and comfortable, the decoration is stunning, the food is outstanding, and the staff is friendly and attentive. If you're looking for an authentic taste of the Caribbean and a great dining experience, I highly recommend checking this place out.
