Came here to take new passport photos and was left with a not so great experience. The equipment used to take the photos were not up to scratch.
When the woman who took the photos asked me if I was happy with the photo result, I told her no and she proceeded to print them.
The portraits were taken on an old point and shoot style camera which kept stalling, and wasn’t working properly. The image resolution came out really poor quality and not suitable for use.
Not happy, as I paid £4.99 for these and had to get a new set of photos taken at snappy snaps. Terrible experience, would not recommend.
Poor customer service - I had walked in and greeted the older Asian man behind the til with a “Good morning” to set the tone for my encounter with him and he ignored me, continuing to type his message on his mobile phone before acknowledging me, even when he did acknowledge me, he blankly starred at me as if to say “get straight to the point” so I did, get straight to the point.
I had told him that “I just wanted to smell some perfumes” and had asked if he has time on his hands (knowing that he would have to open up the cabinets which would only take a moment) he then proceeded back to his mobile device and responded “No I don’t have the time for that” even though it was just me and him in the store, with no other customers. I then said “Okay” and removed myself where I did not feel welcomed.
I would also like to add on that, based on my last experience at the shop, I had got the chance to smell the colognes but they were really old bottles, meaning the juice inside them had expired. I know this because I was doing a few perfume comparison test on that particular day. I just wanted to see if it had been updated, since.
Really nice people, very kind and helpful. Took time to listen to my symptoms and helped me get the right medications. Highly recommend.
Very rude woman behind the counter that refused to give me over the counter medication that was recommended by my Dr because she “knew better”. Very strange and rude behaviour. Would recommend using other pharmacies in the area.
I’ve been using Carsil Chemist for years and they’ve always been polite courteous and the Pharmacist takes tihe time to explain things in a way I understand Susan

If I could give 0 stars, I would, to be honest. My friend went in for emergency contraception and the woman behind the counter didn't seem to respect the privacy of the situation. She didn't ask any questions regarding consent or health, except if she'd taken one before, which she had. This then led to the lady speaking to my friend in a not so pleasant manner and making my friend feel ashamed for something that was out of her control, and ashamed for needing this type of pill.
If you are in need of emergency contraception in Hackney, the Pharmacy opposite Lidl (Sonigra Pharmacy) are lovely and really respectful of privacy.
I went to them with a prescription to release vitamins for me being pregnant!
I waited for half an hour until I received them and finally I come home and the deadline has expired!
