I didn't research a menu or a price list as i went out for relax for distraction but really this place disappointed me and i'll never go again.
The smell of oil into the shop was too much and even if was raining a bit i preferred stay outside rather than eat inside.
So not a good experience.
The chips....proper chips! Port Eynon is beautiful and having a nice chippy by the beach is the icing on the cake!
My only complaint is the portion size and the price...both could be better...
Just paid £31 for 2 barely cooked portions of cod, small chips sold as large, 2 small sausages. Cod has almost no batter, the little batter there is soggy and undercooked, and all food is cold. Hardly any queue but still had to wait 20 mins to be served. Very disappointed, won’t be returning.
Was told they cook to order so was surprised to have been given a piece of cod that was in the heated cabinet. the fish was very dry & more batter than fish. Had sausage & chips aswell & the sausages we’re anemic so didn’t eat those, the chips were ok but the portion was very small for the price.
We have had a lovely dinner at the Captain's Table, chips tasted great, fish was lovely and cooked to perfection. Staff were very nice and friendly.
Not good food sizes was shocking small £4 for kids meal which was a small sausage and about 25 chips no drink or anything. I had chips, cheese and curry sauce all the cheese was stuck to the paper and it was more sauce than anything else never go there again. Wasted £35
Was going to go next door due to reviews but it was closing stupidly early. Can only assume some people had been unlucky with their experience here, we found it a perfectly good chippy. Food was good, service was quick & friendly.
Lovely little chip shop, right on the coastal front of Port Eynon. Chips were very nice, and the sausage in batter was very tasty with a crisp batter. Lush!
