Our group of 12 recently embarked on a delicious adventure at Calicut Chef Restaurant in Fahaheel, a haven for Indian cuisine. Thankfully, the spacious seating accommodated us all comfortably. The staff truly impressed us with their warm hospitality, attentively catering to our needs throughout the evening.
We began our culinary voyage with a selection of soups, whetting our appetites for what was to come. The appetizer spread was a symphony of flavors. The dragon chicken tantalized our taste buds, while the kanthari fish stole the show. The perfectly coated fish fillet, bathed in fragrant masala, was a masterpiece of presentation and taste. The baby corn and mushroom plate added a delightful vegetarian option, bursting with fresh flavors.
For the main course, we delved deeper into the vibrant tapestry of Keralan specialties. The fish pollichath, a symphony of fried fish smothered in masala and embraced by a banana leaf, was an explosion of textures and tastes. The rich chicken curry with coconut milk offered a creamy counterpoint, while the robust beef roast satisfied our heartier cravings. We couldn't resist the fiery allure of the fish mulakitta curry, a delightful dance of spice and seafood. Paal kappa, the steamed tapioca bathed in creamy coconut milk, was a revelation – so many in our group were drawn specifically for this unique dish.
The accompaniments were equally delightful. The appams were light and fluffy, perfectly complementing the curries. The porottas, both plain and the intricately layered nool porotta, offered a satisfying canvas for scooping up the flavorful sauces. Ney pathiri added a touch of sweet indulgence to the savory feast.
To quench our thirst, we explored a range of refreshing beverages. The passion fruit juice offered a tangy delight, while the fruit salad provided a burst of vitamins. The falooda, a layered masterpiece of chilled noodles, ice cream, and rosewater, was the perfect way to end this unforgettable meal.

Good restaurant, nice atmosphere with light music. Nice place for family.They welcomed us with a welcome drink.I ate Naduvanoor Chicken curry, porotta & appam. Taste is good & presentation also. Service also good.But some dishes are little costlier compared to quantity & price, If we compare with other small restaurants.
This is the second joint from calicut chef...difficult to find parking in the evening...plenty of tables...different family section as well...service is fast...the food was decent.....fairly priced...here is what I had and my opinion....

One of the best restaurants in Fahaheel with nice ambience with good tea options

The serene ambiance, complemented by a sky view, provides a refreshing contrast to the mall's hustle. With courteous service and authentic flavors, Chef Noushad's Restaurant is a commendable choice for those seeking a quiet, traditional Kerala dining experience.
Reasonably good food. Nice ambience but with louder Malayalam songs, could have been choice of general music or a medley.
