Just near the Windsor castle. Lots of shops nearby. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
We had 2 cappuccinos, hot choco, earl grey tea, and hazelnut pistachio cake which was really lovely. It’s moist and the flavour was good. It was a lovely Sunday spring afternoon. We sat outside and we enjoyed our tea time/coffee time.
Omg— the workers need some serious training in customer service. We had to get our own TP from their cupboard, because when we asked for it, it fell on deaf ears. I actually cleared off my own table because one of the server was too busy playing on her phone ????. I witnessed a server being someone unprofessional to another group of people. I would only go back there IF all the other places are closed. I highly recommend that you all go to training on how to treat your customers.
I loved this quaint place. It's a very little hole in the wall kind of place. We ordered a ham and cheese panini, sausage roll, 2 pastries that were very delicious, and I have no idea what they were called, and 2 mochas for 24 GBP. It's a relaxing atmosphere. I didn't feel rushed, and the staff did their job without talking to us too much. NOT TOURISTY!
Called in for a breakfast. All the food was cold and badly cooked. The vegetarian breakfast was inedible. The egg was both burnt and undercooked. The egg and the tomato looked like they had been cooked on the same grill as the meat. Staff were apathetic but did refund me the cost of one breakfast. We will never go there again.
In short; AVOID. Walk on.
Popped in for a light lunch before going home and should have driven hungry. Place was empty and we almost walked out when we saw the pale offerings in the glass display. My partner honestly thought the food was just for display and expected the real thing to be much better.
HOW can they charge £23 for two cheese & tomato paninis and a spinach & cheese roll. The paninis were tough, lettuce off colour and I genuinely struggled to cut through it with a decent knife. The spinach roll was basic, reheated and a tad greasy.
The funniest part is that we had breakfast at The Ivy earlier in the day and it came to £27 for incredible service, atmosphere and quality of food.
Went there today. The food was not great at all and the tea was lukewarm and realy bad quality tea. The clotted cream was not clotted cream, when I said this is not clotted cream they said that was all they had. Staff seriously need up there game with everything. It is disgrace for the windsor castle as it located right next to it. Please avoid this place which serves poor quality food and low hygiene.
Ordered a apple strudel, scone with cream and jam, and ham and cheese panini. Fork was dirty. The ham and cheese panini was warmed up but the center was still cold. The scone was very dry. I did not receive the cream, I was given butter and not enough jam for the entire scone.
I ordered veggie English breakfast which is not my first time life I ate beans or English breakfast.
The beans has got some little bubbles more than usual on them which I should have understood before I tasted. The taste of beans was rankish and so sour like expired. It’s impossible to eat them.
I asked the waitress;
- She, there is a tomato sauce (like a joke, of course there is) and she told me that the taste it’s normal
- I, how did u know did u test it?
- She, no I don’t eat beans.
- I, how did u know then it’s normal?
Also her colleague asked what it’s going on, I think other women was the owner or responsible she heard and she noddle her head and didn’t care about it.
- Beans taste was 0-10 (like expired)
- Overall taste of the breakfast 5/10
- Overall hiygiene was 4/10.
- The toilet, there wasn’t any soap.
And they weren’t like “ohh really sorry, apologise” the problem was they really didn’t care it”
I never ever again go again there. And come on guys your place is center of the Windsor it’s a big shame for Windsor for tourists.
They offered after a change after the conversation but I was like no thanks I’d rather having a google comment to let ppl know.
