A very clean, quiet and comfortable double room en-suite. Building architecture adds high ceilings and traditional wooden shutters. Room well equipped and has easily accessible plug points for various devices. Desk chair and high backed chair added comfort. Restaurants, takeaway and laundrette all easily accessible by foot.
This hotel lies in a very old building in a not particularly attractive village. However the rooms are clean and recently renovated.
Overall it is a good stay at a reasonable price.
Perfect - lovely staff, no frills, good price. I wish there were more of this kind of hotel around. The shower was great, room was very comfortable, lovely view. No extras, just a room, but really - why would you want more for such a good price?
Pleasantly surprised by the deluxe room after seeing some of the previous reviews. Clean, bright large room, with lovely shower, TV and coffee and tea making facilities. Right on the high street, near the Star pub where we ate some delicious burgers ordered from the nearby Island Burger. We were met Perfect for our brief stay. And by the way, what a friendly place Burnisland is!
A warm, clean room for the night. Thats all I could say about this hotel / hostel.
Thankfully I only stayed for one night and I have no desire to return
The outside of the building is really neat and located in an incredible location . Loads of night life , many many great options for food and the scenery is beautiful.
The room we got was massive . I’m not sure if all the rooms are this massive but the ceiling had to be 20ft up it’s wild. Nice shower , best bed I’ve slept on in Scotland so far.
The castle isn’t too far and is worth walking past to find the secret beach not too far away .
This is not a hotel and would advise against booking if that’s what you are looking for. Room , bathroom and bedding was clean but that’s all you get. No lounge no bar no breakfast facilities - this is a hostel and there were some noisy nocturnal activities throughout the night in neighbouring rooms. Be careful when booking as this is not made clear and is certainly NOT a hotel.
The room was disgusting and hadn’t been cleaned, the toilet was soiled and hadn’t been flushed by the previous user. Dust everywhere, not one surface looked like it had been cleaned (all shown in pics). Only redeeming quality was the location in respect to the beach and the burger shop next door.
I alerted a member of staff who came to clean the bathroom, but no real apology or compensation was offered (room upgrade or partial refund would’ve been the very least that should’ve been offered!!. Would never ever leave a bad review, but this stay was vile.
