Working away from home and wanted some proper food. Found these guys and the food is 10/10 proper Caribbean food. Had curry goat nice big portion. Then went back the next day had brown stew chicken and some pepper prawns he had freshly made was lovely. Sat in and ate it nice atmosphere friendly guys would deffo recommend trying this place.
Ordered jerk chicken and rice.
Priced reasonably at £10 also ordered cake. Portions are on the small side for both the rice and chicken
Chicken tasted dry and old and seemed like just warmed up in the microwave really bland. I was given white rice when I asked for rice and peas. And plantain was given to me when I asked for festival dumplings.
Also ordered some apple pie cake that was pretty good but the portion was also on the small side.
I will not be ordering the jerk again but wouldn't be opposed to ordering a fish or prawn shrimp option perhaps.
The owner is super nice, polite, respectful and threw in a few extra things here and there such as coleslaw, a drink.
Had the curried goat. It was banging and cooked spot on. Was a bit surprised as walk past it nearly every day. Would recommend to all the foodies. I need to try spicy jerk chicken. Well done!
Food was just ok, nothing special. Portions very small and more bone than meat.. Disappointed, won’t be going back again.
Fancied something different. Guys taken over gave us generous portions. Food delicious and really friendly staff. Good Caribbean food; you can see what you're eating. great lemon, mint and honey drink too Recommend. ????????????

The staff at this establishment were courteous assisting me with the door. My order was correct, timely and full of flavours. Would most definitely recommend.
Brennies has great food. Some of the stuff is so good that you don't want the meal to end. I've tried the curry goat, jerk chicken and the oxtail stew. All of these are mouth watering. I recommend getting a few festivals and dip them in the oxtail stew. Just be careful not to bite your tongue. It's that good. If you live in the area and you haven't tried food from Brennies you need to know this, you're missing a lot.
